BMW Motorrad Japan has announced that the CE 02 urban electric mobility vehicle will be released in Japan on April 26.
It will be available only in Cosmic Black 2 and priced at (approx.) 8260 USD.
Available at authorized BMW Motorrad dealers nationwide, the CE 02 SNS Ambassador Campaign, an early purchase offer, will run from March 22 to May 31.
Customers who sign a contract during the campaign period will receive (approx.) 660 USD cash back.

A new generation of EVs that run through the city like Parkour
The CE 02 is BMW Motorrad's third model following the C Evolution (2018) and CE 04 (2022) EV motorcycles. The development concept is "e-Parkour," a model that looks as if it could run through the city like a parkour.
This model has a maximum output of 11 kW (15 PS) and a top speed of 95 km/h. The engine displacement is equivalent to 200 cc. The engine displacement is equivalent to a 200 cc engine and requires a medium-sized standard motorcycle license or an AT limited standard motorcycle license.
In terms of acceleration performance, it takes only 3 seconds to reach 50 km from a standstill. With a maximum torque of 55 Nm, it has power comparable to a middle-class sports engine, providing sufficient acceleration for riding around town.

As for charging, there is no need for any conventional charging facilities for electric vehicles. The battery can be recharged at an ordinary 100 V household outlet, and with high-speed recharging, the battery is fully charged in approximately 210 minutes, with a maximum range of 90 km (based on WMTC).
In addition to that, the model has a full range of standard equipment. It has heated grips, a smartphone holder, and the ability to check the charge level and remaining range on a smartphone. In addition, a USB-C socket, and ETC 2.0 are standard, so additional initial costs may be quite low.
