Yamaha Motor Co. has launched the 2024 model year of its 249cc scooter XMAX.
The XMAX, which underwent a model change just last year, has not undergone any changes in specifications or equipment this time, but the color lineup has been overhauled. All four colors are new, including the MAX series' new brand color matte dark reddish gray.
It will be released on Thursday, May 9, 2024, for (approx.) 4821 USD, unchanged from the previous model.
New brown tone common to TMAX560 Techmax
The XMAX, released in 2017, is a scooter with large-diameter 15-inch wheels. Its engine is a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder OHC with an output of 23 PS/7000 rpm. This popular model can be used as a racy city commuter or for highway touring.
In 2023, it will undergo its first model change in Japan, gaining an exterior design with LED headlamps, position lights, and tail lamps with an "X" motif. Other features include a new two-screen meter configuration with a color TFT infotainment display LCD speedometer and a smartphone integration function.
The 2024 model year will feature no changes in specifications or equipment, and the entire color lineup has been completely redesigned. The new model will be available in a total of four colors: matte dark reddish gray, black, matte dark gray, and matte light gray.
The "Matte Dark Reddish Gray" is a new brown-toned color that is positioned as the new brand color for the MAX Series. The new color is the same muted tone used on the 2024 TMAX560 Tech Max, which has already been launched and is now available in an elegant color with sparkling red flakes.
The product will be released on May 9, 2024 (Thursday). The price will remain unchanged at (approx.) 4821 USD. Sales of 1,500 units per year are planned.

The distinctive "X" shaped headlights are unique. The screen is movable 50mm up and down.
Dual-screen meter to be adopted from 2023. The lower one is a color TFT LCD and is responsible for displaying the navigation screen in conjunction with a smartphone.
