Honda will release the 2024 model year of the supersport CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE and the CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP with enhanced suspension and other features. The new CBR1000RR-R, which was unveiled at last year's Milan show, features overall performance improvements, including a redesigned cowl with large winglets, increased mid-speed engine output, and the adoption of a two-motor throttle-by-wire system.
It has evolved as the top end of Honda SS.
The standard model will be released on March 1, 2024 (Friday) for (approx.) 16508 USD, while the higher-end "SP" model with Öhlins Smart EC, Brembo Stylema R, and other features will cost (approx.) 18918 USD.
Both models are priced at 438 USD higher than the previous models.
The exterior has been completely redesigned! Highly anticipated flagship updated in every detail!
The CBR1000RR, Honda's flagship supersport, is now available in 2020 with renewed performance in the form of the CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE. It has cutting-edge equipment based on feedback from the racing scene. The fully-loaded 999cc liquid-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine has the same bore x stroke as a GP machine and delivers 218 PS at 14,500 rpm. Finger follower rocker arms and a semi-cam gear train system drive the valves for higher rpm, and titanium connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons provide high strength to withstand high power and high rpm. Electronic control is provided by a 6-axis IMU with advanced electronic control that can control advanced complex adjustments such as torque control, engine braking, wheelie control, and steering damper control in three riding modes. The cowl also features a wing, which is common in the racing scene, and is designed to provide stability through downforce.
It is highly regarded for its capabilities as Honda's flagship supersport. In 2022, minor changes were made to the model, and the intake and exhaust systems and sprockets were modified to further increase its fighting power.
This model change includes updates to almost all aspects of the engine, cowl, and frame.
The engine's maximum output was maintained, but the mid-range output was enhanced through changes to the camshafts and combustion chamber shape. The compression ratio was also increased to reduce intake resistance. In addition, the throttle-by-wire system was revised to control two cylinders each by two motors, improving the engine's ease of use. The weight of each part has also been reduced. The handlebar height and step position were also changed. The frame has also been made lighter and more rigid, resulting in more freedom and agility. In addition, the cowl now features winglets, a major design change from the previous model. Aerodynamic characteristics have been further improved.
The SP, which will also be released at the same time, features new third-generation Ohlins Smart EC inverted forks. The front calipers are also equipped with Brembo Stylema R front calipers to improve braking power and controllability in addition to thermal resistance, improving performance directly related to speed in the racing scene.
The detailed changes are also introduced in a separate article.
The new CBR1000RR-R will go on sale on March 1, 2024 (Friday), and will be available in Grand Prix Red for both the Standard and SP models, with the SP model also available in Matte Pearl Morion Black. Prices are (approx.) 16506 USD for the Standard and (approx.) 18914 USD for the SP. The price has been increased by 438 USD from the previous model. The annual sales volume is planned to be 600 units.

CBR1000RR-R SP [HONDA 2024] The new CBR1000RR-R features major equipment updates. The new CBR1000RR-R also features improved controllability, enabling more aggressive riding on the circuit.

The frame is stiffer and lighter (-960g), and the handlebars are raised and the step position is lowered to improve maneuverability.

The major change in appearance is the winglets, which are installed in a wide and inverted concave shape. This is the result of feedback from MotoGP machines.

While maintaining the same maximum power output, the engine design was redesigned to reduce weight (-720g) and enhance acceleration performance in the mid-range. It is also lighter (-720g) and has improved mid-range acceleration performance.

The SP features the third-generation ÖHLINS Smart EC system front and rear suspension. The brakes are Brembo STYLEMA R, optimized for circuit use.
