Suzuki has announced new models of its large adventure tourers, the V-Strom 650 ABS (V-Strom 650) and V-Strom 650XT ABS (V-Strom 650XT). The only changes from the previous models are color changes, with two new graphics colors for the V-Strom 650 and three new graphics colors for the V-Strom 650XT.
The VStrom 650 and VStrom 650XT will be released on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the same prices as before: (approx.) 6437 USD for the VStrom 650 and (approx.) 6733 USD for the VStrom 650XT.
Blue is new for the Standard, and falcon-like black and gold for the XT!
The V-Strom 650, which has been sold in Japan since 2013, is an adventure tourer equipped with a 645cc 90-degree V-twin engine that shares its base with the sport naked SV650. The 2017 full model change features a beak-shaped front mask and two vertically mounted headlights reminiscent of the famous "DR" series of vehicles of the past. Performance has also been modernized with a two-stage traction control system.
The engine, which complies with the 2020 emission regulations by 2022, delivers a maximum output of 51 kW (69.3 ps)/8,800 rpm and offers powerful performance even on winding roads. In addition, features such as a large 20.0-liter tank and a large movable screen make it an attractive tourer, and it is a multi-purpose model that can be used in any situation, making it a model that has many fans. The V-Strom 650XT is a variation of the on-road-oriented standard model with cast wheels, while the V-Strom 650XT is equipped with spoked wheels, knuckle guards, and underguards as standard equipment.
While the wheel size and other specifications are the same, the V-Strom 650XT has a more off-road feel.
The new model retains these existing features and specifications but has been redesigned with a new color scheme. The standard model comes in two colors, "Pearl Bigger Blue" and "Glass Sparkle Black," and the lineup of white and yellow accent graphics has been discontinued. The XT comes in three colors: Champion Yellow, Brilliant White/Pearl Vigor Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black. The black color has gold accents on the wheels and fenders, giving it a new color scheme reminiscent of sports models such as the Hayabusa.

V-Strom 650XT [Suzuki 2024] The SV series, a well-established middle-sport bike, has been optimized for adventure tourers. It has been a long seller overseas since 2003 and in Japan since 2013.
The 645cc liquid-cooled DOHC 90-degree V-twin engine is used. It is torquey yet highly fuel-efficient and is equipped with low RPM assist and an easy-start system.
The traction control system, which will be employed starting in 2017, uses sensors throughout the vehicle body to grasp the situation and control engine output. It can be adjusted in two stages depending on sensitivity.
