The new Grom announced by Honda in Thailand is expected to be released in Japan on March 14. The price is expected to remain unchanged while evolving to a sportier style.

In 2021, the Grom will undergo a full model change to the JC92 model and will feature a new engine with a 5-speed transmission, as well as a new suspension and exterior. In 2023, it will undergo a livery change and comply with 2020 emission regulations, but the 2024 model is expected to undergo a complete exterior makeover.
The styling will be the same as the new Grom already unveiled in Thailand, with a redesigned headlight case and tank & side covers. The color scheme was red, blue, and gray in Thailand, but is expected to be white and black in Japan.
Other differences from the Thai version are that the under-cowl is expected to be optional in Japan, and the price is expected to remain unchanged at (approx.) 2634 USD.
The expected release date is March 14, and the specifications, such as the maximum output of 10 PS and the vehicle weight, seem to be unchanged from the current model.
The OEM accessories for the new 2024 Grom are expected to include many touring-oriented items such as a USB socket (type C) to be installed on the steering wheel, a meter visor, and a knuckle visor. The undercowl, which is standard equipment for the Thai version, is expected to cost (approx.) 70 USD.
New GORM Japan specs [Editor's CG forecast] The new Grom in Japan is expected to be clad in Japan's original Pearl Horizon White color. The CG shows it with an undercowl, but this will be an option in Japan.
New GORM tie specifications [HONDA] It is likely that Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic will be available in Japan, but the Thai-spec Gray x Black shown in the photo is close.
The new model unveiled in Thailand has been restyled in a sportier direction from the current Grom, which had a strong playful element without major changes to the engine or suspension.
