Debuting in Japan in 2018, the XMAX is Yamaha's new-generation scooter that replaces the previous Majesty and is the Japanese introduction of the XMAX, which was favored in Europe. The model ranked in this year's list is the 2021 model which complies with the 2016 emission regulations, but its content remains unchanged from the first generation.
The current model is a 2024 model, fully remodeled and newly launched in October.
It features a two-screen meter for improved usability.
9. Suzuki's long-awaited 250cc Suzuki V-Strom 250SX ('23) for unpaved roads

The brand-new VSTROME 250SX model, which was just released on August 24, quickly entered the rankings. Sold alongside the existing VStrom 250 with a parallel two-cylinder engine, the lightweight oil-cooled single-cylinder version made its debut. The front end features 19-inch wheels for use on unpaved roads such as forest roads.
The two-cylinder version sold 1,266 units in '17- and 1,154 units in '23, for a total of 2,420 units sold, equivalent to fifth place in real terms.
8. Honda's Forza ('22-) gets a makeover with twin-lens headlights

The new Forza, launched in December 2022, ranked 8th. A big scooter competing with Yamaha's XMAX, the Forza features luxury features such as an electric screen and cowl-mounted rearview mirror. The new model has a new image with a new twin-lens headlight, similar to the Forza that was once sold in Japan.
7. Yamaha's basic sports Yamaha "MT-25/YZF-R25ABS ('22-)

The MT-25 and YZF-R25, Yamaha's basic sports models equipped with a liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder 249cc engine that delivers 35 PS, are based on the same engine and chassis, but with different naked and full-cowl concepts. Both models will be compliant with the 2022 emission regulations, and the 2023 model has undergone a color change.
6. Honda CBR250RR ('23) with an improved power output of 42 PS

The CBR250RR, which outperformed its rivals in 2017 with the first electronic throttle in its class and other features, now delivers 42 PS/13500 rpm, up 1 PS, with an improved engine cylinder head, camshaft, and other improvements. To improve aerodynamic performance, winglets were built into the side cowl, giving it a highly competitive appearance.
