BMW has unveiled its third motorcycle bearing the special "M" title given to its sports models.
After the M1000RR and M1000R, the M1000XR is a crossover tourer with a parallel four-cylinder engine based on the S1000RR.
Long distance touring, winding roads, and circuits are also in view.
Debuting in 2015, the S1000XR is a tourer model added to the S1000 series of parallel four-cylinder engines. With its upright riding position and large windscreen, it has established itself as a tourer model with a sporty character that differs from the GS series.
The S1000XR was completely redesigned in 2019 and is undergoing a model change to increase power from 165 to 170 PS for the 2024 model year, and the M1000XR surpasses it with a supersport-like power output of 201 PS. The M1000XR has a shortened 4 to 6-speed gearbox for even greater acceleration.
In terms of aerodynamics, winglets are used on the front side panel area to improve driving stability at high speeds and on circuits. Riding stability is achieved from approximately 100 km/h. The suspension is equipped with lightweight forged aluminum wheels, and M carbon wheels are available as an option.
Not only do the M calipers on the 5mm-thick 320mm-diameter discs ensure powerful braking power, but the electronically controlled brake slide assist allows the driver to brake drift toward corners with a constant slide. It is the ultimate tourer worthy of the M name, complete with equipment to the point of excess.

M1000XR [BMW] The third model since the first M model motorcycle was created in 2021. The M Competition Package shown in the photo incorporates carbon parts for the wheels and exterior to reduce weight by 3 kg.

The regular version of the M1000XR has a sporty image with the M color based on white.Based on the modified 2024 S1000XR, it is the fastest tourer with over 200 PS.

New S1000XR [BMW] Fully redesigned for 2019, the new model has a refined exterior and engine. The beak has a new shape and is painted the same color as the body.

The handlebars are more forward-leaning than the S1000XR. The meter is 6.5 inches in size and the mirror is standard here.

The M1000XR has a shortened sprocket from 45 to 47T as well as a 4 to 6-speed transmission.

The wing is duct-shaped with four pieces per side. This is a feature not found on the S1000XR.

This is a design sketch of the wing. It is a combination of several parts.

The beak, which was split in the previous model, is integrated with the new model.

Here is a design sketch of the new S1000XR. The beak is also incorporated into the style.
