V-Strom 250SX (249cc)Owner: Gan@Hajimari No Mura
This article introduces one MY BIKE submitted to Webie Community every week. The model introduced this time is SUZUKI "V-Strom 250SX" and the owner is "Gan@Hajimari No Mura".
The V-Strom 250SX is a new adventure model that just went on sale this summer.
This model uses the same air-oil-cooled single-cylinder OHC engine as the Gixxer series and has a 19-inch front wheel for improved off-road performance. First, the "V Strom 250" has been in the lineup since 2017, but this is a water-cooled parallel 2-cylinder engine and is completely inferior. Please note that the body sizes and characteristics are quite different.
According to Mr. Gan @ Hajimari no Mura, who gave us his impressions of the VSTROM 250SX, maintenance costs are low and the chassis is relatively light. Fuel economy is not as good as that of the SEROW 250, but the tank capacity is large (12 liters), so a cruising range of 400 km is sufficient, making it quite an excellent touring machine. The drawback, however, is the footprint, which is difficult for smaller riders due to the high seat (830 mm) and wide seat.
However, a low seat is available as an option, so riders who really like this style should give it a try! If you like this style, you may want to give it a try!

Despite its off-road style, the VSTROME250SX is attractive for its on-road pace. The wide seat makes for a comfortable ride!

Monster bird of the desert! The beak is nice! Mr. Tsutsuji loves the design of this motorcycle. The retro style of the former DR series is GOOD!
MYBIKE COMMENT
Motive for purchase
I've been waiting for it to be released domestically.
Advantages
It is a light two-wheeled adventure that can go with a slightly fast-paced flow.
Maintenance costs are low, and the chassis is relatively light. Fuel economy is not as good as that of the SEROW 250, but the tank capacity is large (12 liters), so a range of 400 km is sufficient.
Humans are the first to take a break.
Disadvantages
The seat height is 830mm, but the seat is wide enough for a road bike, so it is hard to get a good foot grounding. The position of the step is a priority when riding and is secondary when you stop and put your foot out. You should not have to worry about foot grounding.
People who drive WR on public roads or off-road vehicles say that the seat is too narrow and touring is hard even for 100 km touring, but SX does not cause buttock pain for the time being even with a low seat, and the engine power is just right.
Advice for prospective buyers
However, the quality of the bikes is inferior to that of large and high-end bikes produced in Japan, but since the bodies are cheap and cost-effective, I do not think that excessive-quality, including deterioration over time, is required. I do think that at the very least, the bike shop needs to do some maintenance when the new bike is delivered to the customer. I don't think it's a good idea to just deliver the bike, put a license plate number on it, and hand it over to the customer.
(Mine was not like that, though.)
