Milano Show 2023: New Dragster 300 with Wing and only 4 kg more than the 125!

Motorcycle

Italjet presented the new Dragster 300 at the Milan Show. The new Dragster is the largest displacement version of the 125 and 200, which are also available in Japan, and share a common body.

DOHC 4-valve engine delivers 23.8 PS

The 300 is the latest addition to the dragster series with ISS (Independent Steering System), a cantilevered suspension system at the front. The engine is a liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC 4-valve 278cc with a maximum output of 23.8PS. This is 11.3PS/6.3PS more than the 125/200, and the weight increase is limited to only 4kg.

Furthermore, the wheelbase of 1345 mm and the overall length of 1870 mm remain unchanged, which highlights the radical concept of a 300 cc model that is more compact than the PCX, which is 1935 mm in length. The 12-inch front and 13-inch rear suspension and disc brakes are the same as those on the 125/200.

A unique feature of the Dragster 300 is the TFT display meter, which has a wider display surface than the conventional LCD screen, and a tachometer has been added for improved visibility. In addition, a total of four winglets, two per side, are installed on the body sides, enhancing the sense of ownership of this high-end model.

As a further topic, the 300 is equipped with a side stand, and we expect it to be expanded to the 125/200. Priced at 6999 euros (about 7466 USD) in Europe, it is scheduled to go on sale in January. The color variation lineup also includes the Malossi colors from the manufacturer of the tuning parts.

The release of the product in Japan is unknown, but we will bring you further information as soon as it becomes available.

DRAGRTER300 [ITALJET] The newest addition to the series, the 300 shares a body with the 125/200 and is equipped with a more powerful 278cc engine.
The engine seems to be of a different lineage from the 125/200.

The dragster series retains its unique trellis frame and cantilevered front suspension. The 240mm front and 175mm rear disc brakes are the same as on the 125/200.

The size is compact, with an overall length of 1,870 mm. Although there is no metallic compartment, there is no need to talk about convenience in this beautifully styled vehicle. The photo shows the Malossi version, available in a total of three colors.

The instrument panel with a TFT display is a unique feature of the 300. The tachometer is sporty.

Two large winglets like those on MotoGP machines will be set on the top and bottom of the two colors except for the Malossi.

The engine is announced as a DOHC 4-valve but appears to be SOHC in the photo.

The unique ISS has independent steer and suspension functions. It excels in road-following performance.

The 125/200 did not have a side stand, which was sold as a part from Kijima, but the 300 comes standard.

The tail lamps with the letter "g" back-to-back are the same as those on the 125/200, with a large 300 logo.

Low clip-on handlebar with an emphasis on atmosphere, but not so much that the position leans forward.

Set the indicator on the lever guard in the same way as for 125/200.
