KAWASAKI Japan has announced the details of its exhibit at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, which will open to the general public on Saturday, October 28. A large number of new models, including 5 new models making its world premiere, a hybrid engine model making its Japanese debut, a 4-wheel off-road trailblazer for overseas markets, and a hydrogen engine will be on display. In addition to new models, historic models such as the MEGURO 250SG, GPZ900R, and ZXR400R, as well as various race machines will also be on display. The Japan Mobility Show 2023 will be held at Tokyo Big Sight for one week from Saturday, October 28 to Sunday, November 5.

Announced all new models to be introduced in Japan

What is particularly noteworthy at this year's exhibition are the 5 world premieres and the "Ninja 7 Hybrid," which has just been announced overseas. While detailed information on all of these models has not yet been announced, all are scheduled to be released in Japan. The "Ninja 40th Anniversary Edition model" will be announced in November, and it will not be long before any of these models are actually available for purchase.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Ninja series, the Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-4RR are special editions of the Ninja ZX series, featuring the livery and graphics of the ZXR series from the 1980s and 1990s.

W230 (World premiere)

The W230, a retro-sport model in the standard motorcycle class equipped with an air-cooled single-cylinder engine, makes its new appearance. The W230 faithfully follows the standard style with round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, dual gauges, spoked wheels, and steel fenders, making it the first W series model to appear in the middle class since the W400, which was produced until 2008.

MEGURO S1 (world premiere)

This new model based on the W230, released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Meglo brand in 1924, features the same high-quality plating, blacked-out parts, and Meglo emblem as the 800cc "MWGURO K3". This model carries on the bloodline of the "MEGURO SINGLE" from the prewar period.

KLX230 (world premiere)

The KLX off-road series is now available in a new, restyled version. The frame and suspension have been optimized to improve foot grounding and ride comfort. The design has evolved to a sporty look, aiming for a silhouette that follows the race model KX series. It is the only off-road model for public roads in Kawasaki's current lineup.

Ninja 7 Hybrid (Japan premiere)

Announced overseas in October, the new Ninja features a hybrid drive system that combines a 451cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with a motor. eBoost, a motor-assisted function, delivers a maximum output of 51.1kW (69.4PS). The new Ninja is a strong hybrid model that can also be switched to EV mode using only the motor.

High expectations for new mobility models on display for reference

Reference exhibit models also include the Ninja e-1, on display for the first time in Japan, and the TERYX KRX4 1000, a four-passenger desert trailing vehicle. This exhibit will allow visitors to imagine next-generation models and their activities overseas.

Kawasaki's first EV sports model that can be driven on public roads. The compact electric motor and lightweight frame provide excellent acceleration and nimble handling, and the removable battery can be recharged at a household outlet.
