Loris Baz says his “love” of the FIM Endurance World Championship means he wouldn’t rule out further appearances in the series.

Baz went from BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team’s reserve rider to Tecmas-MRP-BMW Racing Team’s third race rider during last month’s Bol d’Or.

Although an early technical issue prevented Baz from taking to the #9 Dunlop-equipped entry, the World Superbike star is open to more EWC action in the future.

I love Endurance, I was one of the first young guys to join Endurance in 2011 and I love it, said Baz. I watch every race and I love being here so I always said I would love to do the World Superbike and the Endurance together. It’s hard to put it together but for sure I will be back one day.

Of his Bol d’Or experience, 30-year-old Baz said:

It was a funny week because everything changed a lot. It has been a super-nice experience and great to be with the team. I was just trying to do a good fourth rider job as I was asked to. I anyway love being at a race with my friend Jérémy [Guarnoni] and trying to help him. BMW then also needed help on the Tecmas-MRP-BMW Racing Team side in the Superstock class to try to catch the title for them because of injuries. So that was a last-minute call.

I was going cycling and everything was packed in my car and they called me and told me I am needed in Superstock. So I was really looking forward to this because it would have been really great to race with Kenny [Foray] and Loïc [Arbel]. But, unfortunately, there was the technical issue early in the race.

This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I had finished my job on Friday, then I got a new job but could not ride. Since then [supported] Jérémy and the #37 as much as I could. I’m really happy they made it to the podium.
