No luck for No Limits in EWC season finale

Honda No Limits lucked out in its bid to finish in the FIM Endurance World Cup top three for four years running during the Bol d’Or season decider earlier this month.

The Italian team, which switched from Suzuki to Honda power for 2023, was among the outfits in contention for the Dunlop Superstock Trophy starting the Circuit Paul Ricard event.

However, its hopes of more EWC success were dashed in a collision with the #85 Tone RT Syncedge 4413 BMW entry early in the race, which left the #44 No Limits Honda badly damaged and ultimately out of action.

The stakes were high this time and it makes this ending even more bitter, a Facebook post from the team read. Our 24 hours ended with three hours on the road after a crash that forced us to a pit stop to literally rebuild the bike with incredible and amazing work by our guys. But it was work that wasn’t enough and after two more stints, we were forced to give up.

This season ends on a negative note and it’s hard to be clear and positive, but this was also the year where we started our adventure with Honda and took two podiums with a new bike. We go again to set new goals for the next season.

‘Thanks to our riders, Alexis [Masbou] for this third year together, Johan [Nigon] for deciding to join the No Limits family and Lorenzo [Gabellini] for deciding to start his endurance adventure with us. We are a team and we are proud of each and every member of our team.*

Honda No Limits placed sixth in the final FIM Endurance World Cup standings.
