A variant model of the GB350 is expected to be introduced in 2024. Its appearance is a veil of mystery, but Honda has applied for a patent for a mudguard that is believed to be for the GB350, could this be related?
Scramblers to be added?
The GB350 is sold as the CB350 in India, the main market, and a small skid plate is installed on the CB350RS, which is the GB350S. On the other hand, the patent is clearly applied for as a mudguard, not a skid plate, and its purpose is to prevent mud and other contaminants from sticking to the engine.
For this reason, the guard on the front part of the engine is raised above the top of the crankcase. The reason for setting such a large mudguard on the GB350 may be that it was developed as equipment for the scrambler type.
Alternatively, it could be planned as a new genuine optional part. The motorcycle in the illustration is equipped with a rear carrier for a solo seat, which was released in India as a genuine optional part. However, there is no mudguard available at this time, so its use is unknown.
It is unclear when the GB350 variant will make its debut, but it is certain that it will be released in Japan. We will bring you information as soon as it becomes available.

The motorcycle depicted in the patent was applied for by Honda in November 2021. It appears to be a custom GB350.
The patent application is for the number 81 mudguard.

In this way, we can see that the mudguard of No. 81 is quite large. The reason it prevents mud from sticking to this extent is probably because it is designed for driving on unpaved roads.

The large mudguards give it the appearance of an OVER custom. The classic scrambler style of Triumph and other models would also look good on the GB!

Solo carrier and solo seat as factory options for 2023 in India. Why is a patent pending based on this?
