Honda has announced the details of its booth exhibit at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. Among the exhibits, we would like to report on a new model that has caught the attention of riders.
Its name is the SC e: Concept. It is highly possible that this is the "new moped class 2 EV" that has been in the works for some time! Detailed information will be unveiled for the first time in the world at the Mobility Show.

"SC e: Concept"
Honda has already been selling a full EV model equipped with the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, a removable battery, since June this year. In August, the EM1e: scooter for general users was also introduced, and currently, there are four models and seven types in the lineup.
The newly announced concept model SC e: Concept follows this lineup and is equipped with Honda Mobile Power Pack e:. The number of units installed is two, similar to the BENLY e: and GYRO CANOPY e:. Although power output and specifications have not yet been announced, the illustration released shows a standard scooter type with a silhouette similar to that of the LEAD 125. Where the previous model with two power packs was only for business use, the "SC e: Concept" is likely to appear for general users.
In past business presentations, Honda also announced that it will launch two new commuter EVs for personal use by 2024-2025. At that time, only a silhouette was disclosed. This silhouette is believed to be the SC e: Concept. If so, even though it is currently a concept model, there is no doubt that it will soon be released to the general public. And given the lack of a moped class 2 EV for the general public in the current lineup, there are high expectations that the SC e: Concept will appear as a moped class 2 EV.
Detailed information will be presented at the world premiere at the JAPAN MOTOR SHOW 2023 to be held from October 28 (Sat.) to November 5 (Sun.), 2023. Other new EV concepts such as the SUSTAINA-C Concept and Pocket Concept, as well as four-wheeled mobility vehicles with artificial intelligence and a wide range of other new technologies are scheduled to be unveiled at the show. This is a must-see event!
Only an image illustration of the SC e: Concept has been released. The actual vehicle will make its world premiere at the Mobility Show.
