Polaris Japan, the official importer of Indian Motorcycles in Japan, announced that the special Indian Challenger RR model commemorating Indian Motorcycle Racing and S&S Cycle's 2022 King of the Bagger Championship Series championship win will arrive in Japan.

The Indian Challenger RR is a race-specification model by S&S, the same company that made Tyler O'Hara's No. 29 the winner of the 2022 championship. 29 units will be produced worldwide in a limited edition for avid circuit riders and collectors and will be available in Japan after October 2023 for (approx.) 99997 USD.

The number of units arriving in Japan has not yet been determined. Since this is a racing-only vehicle, it cannot be ridden on public roads.

Comments from Indian Motorcycle

Originally, road racing with baggers was something baffling to many and even offensive to purists. But in just three short years, King of the Baggers has emerged as the hottest thing in motorcycle racing, as these bikes have rapidly evolved in sophistication. We thought it would be great to give people the opportunity to own the bike that holds the crown!

Gary Gray, Indian Motorcycle's Vice President of Racing, Technology, and Service, said, "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Indian Motorcycle.

We are excited to embrace the fandom of bagger racing and celebrate our second title with this very limited and special Indian Challenger RR motorcycle. This bike is a true race bike and not street legal, just as it was when we released the venerable FTR750. In the right hands, this bike could be on the podium in MotoAmerica's Mission King of the Bagger race series.

Racing and winning have long been core elements of Indian Motorcycle's brand DNA. Founded by racers and driven by innovation and the desire to go faster and win races, Indian Motorcycle has been racing and winning for 122 years.

From Oscar Hedstrom's endurance race victory at the turn of the century to O.C. Godfrey's famous 1911 Isle of Man win, Burt Munro's land speed record, the domination of the original Wrecking Crew in the 50s and the modern Wrecking Crew's six consecutive American Flat Track Championship wins from 2017 to 2022, the 2022 Super Hooligan Championship win on FTR, and Brand's two King of the Bagger Championship wins in 2020 and 2022. The list of racing milestones that make Indian Motorcycle history is unmatched!
