BREAKING NEWS: Kawasaki Announces Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 for Japan

On September 15, Kawasaki Motors Japan announced that the EV motorcycle exhibited at the "JAIA Import Electric Vehicle Promotion Event in Kobe" in July will be released in Japan as the Ninja e-1/Z e-1.

No further details other than the name of the car was disclosed.

Kawasaki's announcement, dated today, is as follows

Kawasaki Motors Japan, Ltd. is currently preparing to introduce Kawasaki's first electric motorcycles, the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1, which were announced for the overseas market on September 14, 2023. We will provide more detailed information on the release date, price, and specifications as soon as they are finalized.

The vehicle classification, price, and release date of the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1, whose names have been revealed once again, are currently unknown, but they are expected to be released by the end of this year as Class 2 mopeds. We will report further information as soon as it becomes available.

Ninja e-1 [KAWASAKI] Kawasaki's electric motorcycle is now confirmed for release in Japan.
The exterior is based on the current Ninja 250, while the suspension utilizes the old Ninja 250.

Z e-1 [KAWASAKI] The naked version has the appearance of the Z250 with a battery and motor mounted on an EV-specific frame.
The front and rear suspension are believed to be identical to the Ninja type.
