The latch (jagged) that engages the push button has 19 positions, allowing the opening width to be set precisely. When the force applied to the grip is loosened and rotated on the bolt nut, the grip opens through the cam when an opening force is applied to the jaw. Therefore, it is possible to replace the grips without opening them by hand, which helps shorten the work time.
The structure of the grip (handle) is also unique. In general pliers, you have to keep applying pressure to the grip in order to firmly grasp the workpiece. This plier wrench, however, has a two-part structure with one grip and jaw, and the joint part has a cam-like structure. The jaw-holding force is amplified ten times more than the grip force applied to the grip due to the positional relationship between the joint and the cam. Since the pressure applied to the jaws is progressively increased by simply pressing down on the upper side of the handle rather than gripping it, there is no perceptible movement of the jaws opening against the bolt and nut, making work easier since there is no need to rely on grip strength.
Also, since the jaws open simply by loosening the force applied to the grip, there is no need to open the grip wide when changing wrenches, and the bolt nut can be turned quickly.
Flat gripping surface prevents damage to delicate materials
Pliers wrenches are used in places where eyeglass wrenches and socket wrenches are difficult to use, and where it is harder to screw the head on than wrenches and monkey wrenches. It is definitely a useful item to have in your toolbox.
The gripping surface of a pliers wrench is flat, so there is no risk of scratching chrome-plated, painted, or soft aluminum or resin bolts and nuts. Even if stays are bent due to a fall or other accident, you can correct the bent part by clamping it and applying force as if you had clamped it with a vise. Pliers and wrenches have different roles, and it may be difficult for some people to imagine what kind of work can be done by integrating them.
