From the Webike Community's My Bike, the "Owner Review Summary" introduces various motorcycles based on the voices of owners who actually ride or have ridden them. This time, here's what the owners have to say about Honda「Super Cub C125!」.

Information was updated on August 17, 2023.

To be honest, the "Super Cub C125 is" is this kind of bike!

The Honda Super Cub series of motorcycles can be said to represent the book, and this Super Cub C125 is the eldest brother of the series.

The Super Cub has a strong image as a business bike for delivery and other businesses, but the Super Cub C125 is completely different.

The Super Cub is very popular in Thailand and Vietnam, but local riders in Thailand and elsewhere have been asking for a "high-end Super Cub" or "hobbyist Super Cub. The Super Cub is very popular in Thailand and Vietnam, but local riders in Thailand and other countries have been asking for a "high-end Super Cub" or a "Super Cub with high taste". The Super Cub was born in response to the market's demand for a "high-end Super Cub. The Super Cub C125 was born in response to this market demand.

If we had to describe the Super Cub C125 in one word, we would say it is the most gorgeous Super Cub ever.

Looking at the body of the vehicle, one sees a design that pays homage to the Super Cub C100, the Super Cub that started it all, but also features such luxuries as a smart key, tubeless machined cast wheels, and a stainless steel exhaust system.

In terms of driving performance, it is set for touring as its main use, rather than for deliveries with lots of go-and-stop traffic. Another major feature of this model is that it places particular emphasis on cruising performance at around 60 km/h. For this reason, a more rigid frame and a disc brake for the front brake were adopted. In fact, it is significantly sportier than other Super Cub series models and is capable of cornering at a higher speed range.

High-grade parts and high-riding performance. The price is considerably higher than other Super Cub series, but with the most powerful equipment and performance in the history of the Cub, it is a price that you can understand.

Let's take a look at what Webike users have to say.

First, "looks," "maneuverability," and "fuel economy" are highly balanced with scores of 4 or higher. Aside from the good styling, fuel efficiency is also highly rated. The engine seems to have torque and is easy to handle on ordinary roads.

Also, since it is a torque-type engine rather than a horsepower-type engine, it does not seem to extend very far at high rpm. The opinion that this area is more powerful is conspicuous. This opinion is from before the improvement, so perhaps the improvement of the current model was based on this opinion. Many also complain about the small fuel tank capacity. This may be a styling priority and cannot be helped, but many Cub users are also fierce long-touring riders, so this may be an issue to be addressed in the future.

The C125 can be described in one word: original scenery. It is now an object of art. It would not be an exaggeration to say that it is the No. 1 bike you want to have in the eaves of your home.

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models When I was looking for my next model after giving up two JA07s, I happened to be motivated to buy a C125 when I saw that it could be made into a C125 spoked version.
I compared it to the CT125 but chose this one because of its style, lightness, and power.
Advantages/Satisfactory points About 1.4 times the price of the C110, which is good because no one in the neighborhood rides it. The maximum displacement of a moped 2 class and the horsepower makes it easy to ride on a slope. Disc brakes are still good!
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points Small fuel tank. The price of each part is too high. The rear fender and muffler are too expensive. Orders are closed because a new model will be released. Unlike JA07, there are many parts to be painted, so it takes a lot of care.
Advice for prospective buyers The vehicle order is already unavailable, so if you want it, please consider it now. I was a little confused about the smart key. I can get used to it.
Will the next model have ABS as standard?

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models I had been interested in this car ever since it was presented at the Kyoto Motor Show, but I didn't like the coloring and had to pass it up. When the new color Pearl Cadet Gray was to be released in 2019, I immediately made a reservation and had the car delivered on the release date.
Advantages/Satisfactory points Styling and equipment. Heritage designs are all the rage on large motorcycles, and the Super Cub C125 is truly a moped 2 version of this trend. I like the fact that it retains the atmosphere while compensating for the Cub's shortcomings, such as full LED lights, disc brakes, and cast wheels.
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points The cowl is difficult to remove. The cowl is not well made, and most of the claws are not tight enough, so you have to be very careful to break the claws. I wish the rear brake was a disc brake as well. Also, if the gas tank were larger, it would extend the range of the bike and make touring more enjoyable.
Advice for prospective buyers Although the price is high, it is definitely a good deal considering the fact that the suspension can be customized later. It has a unique but not flashy appearance, so we recommend it for business and formal occasions.

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models Motive: After riding a Dio110 (JF31) for commuting 35,000 km in 9 years, I felt it lacked hill climbing ability and considered replacing it.
I had planned to buy a PCX or NMAX, but the best-selling scooters change models frequently, so they are likely to become obsolete soon. I wanted to ride it for a long time if possible, so I decided on a Cub that I could ride even after 10 years (until retirement). Purpose of use: commuting, touring (solo, two-cab) Comparison models: PCX, NMAX, GSX-S125, CT125
Advantages/Satisfactory points Fuel economy is excellent when commuting to work, which is the main use of the scooter; as with JF31, refueling is done every three round trips (180 km in total), but the amount of refueling is approximately 1 liter less. Although the scooter is faster at the start of zero acceleration, it can lead the car. It can also lead to the flow of traffic on bypass roads. Even with two passengers in the car, the torque is very different. It accelerates smoothly even on hills where the Dio stalls and can only reach 3 to 40 km/h. The exterior is neo-classic. It is a Cub without a doubt, but it has a sense of quality.
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points Fuel tank capacity is low. A 5L fuel tank would be enough to refuel once a week instead of every 3 days. Too many claw joints on the plastic exterior and weak claw joints around the handle. Screws would be better. The foot is too stiff and uncomfortable when riding with one passenger. A 2-step adjustable rear suspension would be nice. The center of gravity is too high, and it is prone to dizzying at low speeds.
Advice for prospective buyers Perhaps because they are manufactured at a factory outside of Japan, the torque control during assembly is inadequate and rust-preventive grease is not applied. The front and rear wheels, rear suspension, swingarm pivots, etc. should be removed, greased, and retorqued with proper torque.

Check out the Super Cub C125's competitors

Japan's world-class Super Cub has no rivals. Other Super Cubs are also candidates for comparison when purchasing.

Which Super Cub to choose? The point depends on how you perceive the Super Cub's character. The Super Cub C125 is a bit larger than other Super Cubs because it has a higher cruising performance than other Super Cubs.

Therefore, the Cross Cub 110 is a good candidate for a compact model that is "more like a Super Cub" and is highly enjoyable to ride. When actually riding, the Cross Cub 110 has a compact feel that is typical of the Super Cub, and in terms of the speed range, it offers a more idyllic "leisurely stroll" sensation.

On the other hand, if you are looking for more sportiness than the Super Cub C125, the CT125 Hunter Cub is an option, although it is even less Super Cub-like.

The main frame of the CT125 Hunter Cub is based on the Super Cub C125, but the front suspension uses the same top-bridge structure as on ordinary motorcycles, rather than the unit steer characteristic of the Super Cub series. Another major difference is the use of front and rear disc brakes. These higher chassis performances give the CT125 Hunter Cub a character that is capable of off-road riding as well as road sections.
