Podium-placing FIM Endurance World Championship squad Wójcik Racing Team expects to be able to count on Mathieu Gines’ pace and experience for the season-deciding Bol d’Or in September.

Gines was injured in a French Superbike Championship crash at Circuit Pau-Arnos earlier this month while on duty for another team but is already on the road to recovery.

The Yamaha-powered Polish Wójcik outfit posted the following message on Facebook: Our Mathieu Gines had a bit of an injury during the recent French championship races, but will recover in time to start with us in the grand finale of the FIM EWC. Get well soon Mathieu, we're waiting for you.

Gines, who finished second for Wójcik in last season’s 100th-anniversary Bol d’Or alongside Dan Linfoot and Sheridan Morais, was part of the Wójcik line-up that took P10 in the Formula EWC section of the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in April. However, he was a non-finisher in the 24H SPA EWC Motos last month.
