From the Webike Community's My Bike, the "Owner Review Summary" introduces various motorcycles based on the voices of owners who actually ride or have ridden them. This time, here's what the owners have to say about Kawasaki「Z125 Pro」.
To be honest, the Kawasaki "Z125 Pro" is this kind of bike!
As of 2023, Kawasaki's product lineup consists of two main lines: the full-cowl sports Ninja series and the naked-style Z series. There are eight Z series models, of which the Z125 Pro is the youngest brother with the smallest displacement.
The Z125 Pro has the same edgy "SAUGOMI" design as its big brothers, but the Z125 Pro's appeal lies in the fact that its performance is more like a deformation than a scaled-down version of the Z series character. In terms of product specifications, the Z125 Pro has a 30 mm inner tube diameter inverted front fork, front and rear petal disc brake system, and other equipment that would be used on a large sports bike, but in a very similarly deformed way.
The official website says that the high-tensile steel backbone frame that forms the compact silhouette contributes to the nimble handling that is typical of super naked models, and the introduction to the product is witty.
While the 125cc class includes full-fledged sports models such as the CB125R and GSX-R125ABS, both of which pursue a high level of road sportiness, another interesting aspect of this class is the existence of unique models such as the Z125 Pro, which are more relaxed and relaxed. The availability of the Family Bike Special Clause, which allows optional insurance to be applied as a supplement to other vehicles at a discount, has led to high demand for second bikes, which is one of the factors contributing to the diversity of the 125 cc class.

Z125 Pro: Owner's Review
Here are some of the most impressive voices among the many reviews.

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | For some reason, I switched from a Monkey 125. I like Kawasaki. |
---|---|
Advantages/Satisfactory points | The youngest brother of the Kawasaki Z, I think the frame and other basic construction are solid. The 4th gear ratio setting is also suitable for public road riding. Especially in 4th gear, it has a wide range of riding. It is useful for a short ride or a day trip touring. (Bore up, intake/exhaust, and engine ECU replacement are your responsibility). |
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points | I have changed to a backstep because my knees hit the corner of the fuel tank when I knee grip with the normal footpeg. Since the normal handlebar position does not fit the backstep, I replaced it with a special handlebar made by Hurricane. The handle-up spacer (25mm) was added to make the height of the handle just right. The headlight was too dark, so we replaced it with an LED. The LED controller fits between the meter and the meter visor. The decal on the cowl of the 2018 model is not my favorite, so I replaced it with the genuine decal of the 2020 model. |
Advice for prospective buyers | It seems to be discontinued after the 2021 model year. New motorcycles are only available at dealerships. It is a pity. |

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | As a footwear replacement and sometimes as a gymkhana practice vehicle. I was wondering whether to buy a Z or a Grom. The moment I straddled the Z or the Grom, I was hit. And since it was delivered immediately, the Grom had already disappeared from my mind. It was my favorite machine to get back to my motorcycle roots when I was a youngster competing in mini-bike races before I got my driver's license. |
---|---|
Advantages/Satisfactory points | The turning performance was the deciding factor in my purchase, as well as the high-revving engine and the surprisingly well-balanced chassis. The engine turns without stagnation and is very energetic, making it fun to ride. Furthermore, it is also surprisingly tasty to drive it at a leisurely pace. Fuel efficiency and a long cruising range are two of the most important features. |
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points | Can we do something about the unreliable Company D normal chain? I feel that it is. It may lack a little bit of composure in the front. This can be said to be an advantage in that it is easy to turn around, but this area can be improved with riding style, adjustment methods, and parts. The small-diameter wheels of the mini-motorcycle have similar behavior to those of the Grom, but I feel that the Z is a little stronger. I am trying to deal with it by putting the overweight on the back side. I have given up on the often-mentioned zero-load capacity. Is it important to give up on Kawasaki motorcycles? It is necessary to devise or break it off. |
Advice for prospective buyers | New motorcycles are limited, so buy early. After purchasing a new motorcycle, beware of the magic of the high-revving engine. The engine is said to be surprisingly strong, but the stock chain stretches easily if you are not careful, so it will be easier to replace it with a reinforced type chain or racing chain at some point. The front and rear 12-inch small-diameter wheels require a discount for tire durability. |

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | I started looking at good bikes to buy a moped to make my commute more convenient. I was looking at various bikes and became attracted to the bikes themselves. I use it for commuting and sometimes touring. It is often compared to the Grom, although I personally don't think it can beat the Grom, I think Kawasaki's unique high rpm range is its strength. The tank is one of the largest in the 125cc class. The tank is one of the highest capacities in the 125cc class, so it has a very long cruising range. |
---|---|
Advantages/Satisfactory points | The fuel economy characteristic of 125cc and the long cruising range thanks to the large 7,4-liter tank. Pleasant engine sound is produced by an air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The riding posture is ideal for city riding. The meter is a fusion of an analog tachometer and a digital meter, which looks quite cool. |
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points | At any rate, the head cowl has an undeniable heady look. Although it has a sporty look, the engine, and appearance are more like those of a naked bike, I don't think it fits the SS look. I was thinking of getting a 5-speed, but I think it would make the bike too busy changing gears, and I don't think it would be suitable for a city bike. Also, I'm concerned that it has almost no load-carrying capacity. The lack of ABS makes it unsafe. |
Advice for prospective buyers | I want my first bike, 125cc, but I don't know what to get, I recommend it to those who want to get a 125cc bike for the first time. It is not loadable, so you have to use a rear carrier or something. After the 2021 model year, it is practically the final edition, as it is only available as an overseas prior model, You have to be careful not to expect any upgrades in the future. |

In the 125cc class, there are many unique models similar to the Z125 Pro.
In the same line of models with 12-inch front and rear small-diameter wheels, Honda's Grom and Monkey 125, as well as the Daks 125, are likely to be rivals.
However, even among the same 12-inch models, the Daks 125, which is good for two riders and has an automatic centrifugal clutch, and the Monkey, which has an idyllic ride, have different character orientations. As for direct rivals to the sport-oriented Z125 Pro, the Grom seems to be the most likely candidate.
