With the first half of 2023 just around the corner, the buzz for the second half of Kawasaki's year has begun to emerge. We have already mentioned the launch of the new ZX-6R and the new Versys 650 in Japan, and in addition, there will be new colors for the Z650RS.
So, let us predict the new colors of the 2024 Z650RS.

Red is required to complete the original color

Newly released in Japan in April 2022, the Z650RS is a neo-classic model based on the air-cooled Z650. The famous bike that was called the "Zephyr" and exhibited a different appeal from the 750cc Z2 due to its nimble athletic performance is reproduced based on the liquid-cooled Z650. The exterior has been changed to a teardrop tank, and the first generation is available in a color lineup inspired by the green of the 1976 Z650.

This Z650RS appears to be getting a color change for the 2024 model year. When the Z650RS was updated last November, the air-cooled Z650 image in green was kept. If the air-cooled Z650 image color is to be changed this time, it will most likely be red, because red is the color of the original 1976 Z650. Red is the classic Zephyr color used on the first-generation 1976 Z650B1 and the second-generation Z650B2.

In fact, it is unclear what new colors will be available, but following the Fireball, Tiger Color, and Blue Ball Bug in the Z900RS example, the Yellow Ball Edition will be released on July 15 for the 2024 model year. The classic Z1 colors of yesteryear are almost complete, and we can expect a similar development for the Z650RS.

Z650RS [KAWASAKI] The second model in the Z-RS series, released in 2022 following the Z900RS in 2018, is a modern zapper with a parallel two-cylinder 650cc engine. The green color mimics the color of the original Z650.

Z650 (1976) [KAWASAKI] The Z650's DOHC parallel four-cylinder engine was a long-lived air-cooled Z series that was carried over to the later Zephyr 750. If this red model is reproduced, it will be very popular.

Z650 (1978) [KAWASAKI] The Z650 was not released in Japan until this B2. Red was also available on the 2nd model, and became the standard color of the Z650. The lines and color names were different from the first generation.
