From the Webike Community's My Bike, the "Owner Review Summary" introduces various motorcycles based on the voices of owners who actually ride or have ridden them. This time, here's what the owners have to say about Honda「ADV160!」.
To be honest, Honda "ADV160" is this kind of bike!
Based on Honda's compact scooter PCX160, the ADV160 has been given a rugged design with an adventurous taste like the CRF1100L Africa Twin or X-ADV. Originally based on the PCX150, the ADV150 was converted to the ADV160 in conjunction with a model change of the PCX to a 156cc displacement model, which was also equipped with a traction control system. At the same time, the seat height was also changed from 795mm to 780mm, making it more accessible.
At first glance, the ADV160 may appear to be just a dress-up model of the PCX160 with a new exterior, but in fact, the engine characteristics, chassis, and many other aspects of the vehicle have been specially designed and modified. The development keywords for the PCX160 were comfort and luxury, but the ADV160 is completely sport-oriented. The handlebar mounts have been changed from rubber mounts to rigid mounts, and the engine characteristics have been given a punch with increased low-speed torque.
The most noticeable difference is the direct handling from the rigid-mounted handlebars, and the engine characteristics, such as acceleration, are much more energetic than those of the PCX160.
However, as for off-road performance, as one might expect from the styling, it can be ridden on flat dirt roads. Compared to the PCX160, the front and rear suspension has more stroke and the minimum ground clearance is 165mm, which is more than that of a scooter, but only compared to the PCX160.
If you want to ride in the dirt, it would be best to limit yourself to flat dirt roads where passenger motorcycles can ride.

ADV160 Owner's Voice
Here is what the owners have to say about it.
Me-tan
Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | I wanted a scooter for daily use. Because it can be ridden on highways. Because it is visually cool. |
---|---|
Advantages/Satisfactory points | It is a large size for a class 2 motorbike and can be driven on highways, has an innovative style, and is a good performer considering it is a 160cc machine. I think it runs well considering that it is a 160 cc vehicle. |
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points | Met-in storage is too poor! Most full faces don't fit in there, and most major items don't even fit in the jets! I have to think that a top case is a must for this vehicle! Also, a lot of nails are broken when removing and installing the cowl. I can't deny that my handling is bad. |
Advice for prospective buyers | Since aftermarket parts are still scarce, it would be better to purchase the vehicle only after the parts are available. The cowl can be found on YouTube, but it is not that easy to remove and put on. |
Dote
Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | I am switching from a CT125. We chose this vehicle because it can be used for everything from strolling around the neighborhood to overnight trips of a reasonable distance without inconvenience, and it is easy to maneuver at the destination. |
---|---|
Advantages/Satisfactory points | Moderate size and weight for easy maneuvering. The meter is fully functional and has no shortcomings. Safe to use freeways and highways as driving routes. |
Disadvantages/Dissatisfactory points | The USB power supply is located in the glove compartment, making it difficult to use as a power source for accessories mounted around the handlebars (the lid is slightly in the way). The shape of the under-seat trunk is delicate, and helmets do not fit in it. |

The ADV160 is characterized by its rugged design. Compact scooters like the PCX160, which are easy to use around town and can even be driven on highways, are very popular today, but the ADV160 is the only model with this much character. When choosing a scooter, one must be torn between this model and the orthodox PCX160, which is also the base model. In terms of ride quality, there is a big difference between the PCX160, which offers a comfortable ride, and the ADV160, which offers direct handling and a sporty ride.
