On March 10, Yamaha announced the outline of its motorcycle show exhibit. The XSR125, which has been anticipated for some time, will be exhibited as a planned production model, and a custom version has also been revealed. I look forward to seeing this model at the show as well.
Color variations are similar to Indonesian Specifications
Photos of the XSR125 released by Yamaha ahead of the motorcycle show show show two color variations: light blue and red. This is a different variation from Europe, where the XSR125 is run in addition to Japan, and it turns out to be similar to the XSR155 in Indonesia's Nesia.
The YZF-R25 and other models sold in Japan are manufactured in Indonesia, so it is highly likely that the Japan version of the XSR125 will be similar, given the close color variation.
Also, the air-cooled engine-like finish with unpainted cylinder and cylinder head is in keeping with the Indonesian XSR155.
Another topic was the unveiling of the custom version. The matte black bikini cowl, under guard that appears to be made of aluminum, and tank pad give it a wilder image. The single-style seat and fenderless kit are also installed, and it looks like the customization will be fun when it goes on sale.
The XSR125 Japan version is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2023, which would be after July at the earliest. The price is unknown, but since the Indonesian XSR155 costs about 2480 USD, good cost performance can be expected. We will bring you further information as soon as it becomes available.

XSR125 Japan Specs [YAMAHA] Prototype model unveiled on March 10. The psychedelic coloring of the 1970s, a style not seen in Europe, is stylish. The brown seat also adds to the atmosphere.

XSR155 Indonesia Specs [YAMAHA] Four colors are available in the country, with red and light blue almost matching. The radiator and engine waist are unpainted, so they have more texture than European colors.

A custom version of the XSR125 Japan version is also available. You can see that it is equipped with a bikini cowl and under guard. It was photographed in a café parking lot, and the image is a café racer.

Attaching the tank pad to the knee grip portion of the tank cover makes it look like an SR400!

The tail tidy kit is attached to a single-seat-style racy seat with a raised tandem section.

This is the optional bikini cowl for the XSR125 European version. It is likely to be available as a factory-installed option in Japan as well.
