Tracer 9 GT(888cc)Owner: RedZone Zero
This corner introduces one MY BIKE submitted to Webike Community every week.
The model introduced this time is Yamaha「Tracer 9 GT」and the owner "RedZone Zero".
The Yamaha Tracer 9GT, along with the naked sport MT-09 and the neoclassical XSR900, is a sibling model equipped with an 888cc inline 3-cylinder engine that shares the same basic design. The engine, designed based on Yamaha's original concept called the Crossplane Concept, is very distinctive in its combustion timing and crankshaft design. It is also very powerful and sporty, with an output of 119 PS at 10,000 rpm. The Tracer 9GT is a tourer-style model that combines such an engine with equipment suitable for long-distance, high-speed riding.
However, Yamaha's development concept is a multi-role fighter. The Tracer 9GT is a highly versatile model that meets this concept, and despite its tourer style, it excels in sports riding. Equipped with 6-axis IMU automatic control and semi-active suspension, the Tracer 9GT is comfortable to ride on winding roads and in town.
RedZone Zero, who chose the Tracer 9GT, praised its high performance and high potential equipment for its cost performance. He also praised the high wind protection provided by the unique fairing shape, especially when riding at high speeds, and said that when used with cruise control, the ease of riding is heavenly. The enjoyment of being able to travel long distances at high speeds with gusto, and to enjoy the sportiness of winding roads is truly a multi-role fighter!
However, there are some drawbacks to the sporty and user-friendly performance. RedZone Zero also mentions some points of concern, such as the clutch being too far away, the seat being too hard, and the foot grounding being too hard. Especially with the large body, be careful of the foot grounding! So, riders who want a versatile machine can safely consider it once they straddle it.

The Tracer 9GT, with its large screen and high-speed performance, is perfect for long tourers. The powerful engine produces little vibration, and the cornering lamps illuminate the direction of travel at night. In winter, the 10-stage heated grips provide comfort!

The suspension is dressed up with「YAMAHA」stickers and red rims. The wheel size and tires of the Tracer 9GT are the same as those of the MT-09, so there are many fun choices of sports tires.
FROM MY BIKE COMMENTS
I was looking for a new tourer model and found a motorcycle on the market that fits my taste perfectly. The models we compared were FJR1300SA / NT1100 / Ninja1000 etc.
Advantages
■Riding performance
The styling is super cool. The price is very reasonable and the cost performance is very high despite the many electronic controls. The N718E engine is smooth and powerful. The N718E engine is smooth and very powerful, and when riding at high speeds, it is very windproof with little vibration, and when cruise control is used, the degree of comfort is heavenly. Thanks to the 10-stage heated grips, it is quite comfortable even in winter.
Disadvantages
The clutch is far away. It is light thanks to the assist, but the distance between connection and release is long. Perhaps it is because of the by-wire accelerator, but even after the motorcycle starts moving, the motorcycle will stall if the clutch is released carelessly. I would have liked to see an adjustment mechanism on the clutch lever side as well. The rider's seat is wide and good, but the cushion is too firm. The passenger side is fine with moderate cushioning, but it is very hard even on a well-trained ass. I wish the optional comfort seat was standard equipment. Even with the seat set on the low side, the foot grounding is too tight. It does not feel as good as the catalog data. It was necessary to change to the optional low-down link. The clock display is small, so I would like the clock to be able to be displayed on the multimeter (right side).
Advice for prospective buyers
If you are unsure about the footprint of the motorcycle, it is best to test ride or at least straddle it before making a decision. As with any motorcycle, options, and customization will cost money. In particular, it is smart to purchase a top case and pannier cases to demonstrate the motorcycle's greatest appeal, its load-carrying capacity, but these are quite expensive, so it is better to consider your budget in advance.
