The new GV250DRA street cruiser from Hyosung, Korea, will go on sale in Japan in April 2023.
The 249cc air-oil cooled V-twin engine is EURO5 compliant and delivers 26.9PS/9000rpm.
It is equipped with a 6-speed transmission and oil cooler. Body equipment is also of the latest standard, including a full LCD meter and a 6-LED headlight with fairing. It is available in matte silver and matte black and will be priced at (approx.) 4865 USD.
It's about ,000 less than the Rebel, but with a full-fledged cruiser-style air-oil cooled V-twin!
The GV250DRA is the third model in the cruiser lineup from Hyosung, following the already-released GV125S/300S. By filling the middle displacement position in the existing lineup, the GV250DRA has become a more accessible series, but its styling has undergone a major image change from the other displacements. In contrast to the GV125S/300S with its classic bobber style and halogen bulb headlight, the GV250DRA is a "street cruiser" with a modern retro design.
The engine is a 249cc air-oil cooled V-twin, 75-degree banked DOHC engine with 26.9PS/9000rpm output and 2.12kgf/8500rpm torque, which delivers a comfortable acceleration feel up to high rpm. The transmission is 6-speed and complies with the latest exhaust gas regulations. An oil cooler is also included for all-around practicality. The instrument panel features an LCD meter with a gear position display, and machined aluminum parts are used throughout for a high-quality feel.
The GV250DRA has almost the same specifications in terms of power output and equipment as the Honda Rebel 250, which is currently the only 250cc cruiser in Japan's lineup. In terms of price, the GV250DRA is priced at 638,000 yen, about 30,000 yen more than the Rebel 250, but many riders will be interested in this cruiser-like air-oil-cooled V-twin. It will be available at Hyosung dealers nationwide from April 2023.

The new GV250DRA features modern styling changes from the previous GV series. The light case and fat tank give it a more street-style appearance. The GV300S in the back of the image is from the existing lineup, and the new GV250DRA is in the foreground.

The engine is a 75-degree banked, air-oil-cooled V-twin. This model is the only air-cooled V-twin available as a new vehicle in the current Japanese lineup. The imposing styling, which is typical of cruisers, is attractive.

The single-lens LCD meter is a multifunctional type equipped with a gear position display. Various indicators are provided on the bezel.

The six-lamp headlights with fairing are adopted. The blinkers and taillights are also fully LED, and the equipment is of the latest standard.
