Suzuki has announced the 2023 model year of its naked road sport GIXXER. All color variations have been changed, new graphics have been introduced, and engine specifications have been partially modified to comply with 2020 emission regulations. The new model will released on January 27, 2023 (Friday) at a price of (approx.) 2960 USD, which is 255 USD more than the previous model.
A slight reduction in engine output due to compliance with emission regulations
The Gixxer is a road sport, light motorcycle model released in 2017, equipped with a 4-stroke OHC single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 154 cc. It was previously sold to India and other Asian markets and has gained great popularity for its lightweight compactness, displacement that allows it to be driven on highways, and high fuel efficiency. With the 2020 model change, it has evolved into a sportier model with a vertically mounted LED headlight, ABS, and a swingarm-mounted rear fender.
For the 2023 model year, the equipment remains the same, but all graphics have been changed. In addition to the existing Glass Sparkle Black Triton Blue, a new orange-toned Sonic Silver Metallic/Purple Blaze Orange base color has been added. It replaces the previous Pearl Mira Red. The graphics have also undergone a major change, with a new logo on the side cover. In terms of specifications, the new model complies with the latest 2020 emission regulations, and minor changes have been made to engine output and other parameters. Catalog fuel economy was slightly reduced (from 55.3 km to 51.0 km), and maximum output was lowered (from 14 PS/8000 rpm to 13 PS/8000 rpm).
It will go on sale on Friday, January 27, 2023, at a price of (approx.) 2960 USD.
This is a 270 USD increase from the previous model.
