From the Webike Community's My Bike, the "Owner Review Summary" introduces various motorcycles based on the voices of owners who actually ride or have ridden them.
In this issue, I bring you the real owner's voice about Ducati SuperSport 950 S!
To be honest, the SuperSport 950 S is this kind of bike!
Among sports bikes, full-cowl bikes have a strong image of being racy.
The current lineup can be broadly divided into two categories: Supersports bikes that are designed for circuit performance first and foremost, and high-speed tourers such as Suzuki's Hayabusa that offer enhanced high-speed cruising performance.
The Ducati Supersport series introduced here is more of a supersport character that is more circuit oriented.
However, the key point is that not 100% of the performance is dedicated to circuit riding.
The seat height is 810 mm, which is comfortable for a full-cowl model, and the separate handlebars are set up so that the rider does not have to lean forward so much. Although it looks like the company's super sports model Panigale, it has a highly versatile character that can be used for both daily use and touring.
As evidence of this, despite the racy styling, the screen has a fairing effect that can be changed in two levels, and the rear seat is equipped with a cargo hook. In addition, a set of pannier cases is available as an option.
In other words, it is a supersport-style motorcycle designed with touring performance in mind.
Three riding modes, "SPORT," "TOURING," and "URBAN," are available to suit different riding situations. The motorcycle has three riding modes, "SPORT," "TOURING," and "URBAN," with different characters for different riding situations.
But Ducati sport bikes don't stop there. If you set the riding mode to SPORT and start riding, you can literally enjoy the fun of handling a sporty bike. The electronic control intervention levels, such as engine power, traction control, and ABS, are very finely tuned and can be changed to suit the rider's preference.

Average owner satisfaction score is 3.50 out of 5 (Number of evaluations: 12)
Although the number of submissions is still low due to the short time since its debut, owners seem to be highly satisfied with the car, which scored a perfect 5 points for both looks and driving performance. On the other hand, loadability, maintainability, and maneuverability, which are the destiny of Supersports motorcycles, scored below 3 points. It would be better to understand the characteristics of the notorcycle before considering it.
It is worth noting that some people say that the challenges of the previous SuperSport model were improved when it was redesigned into the 950. It is also worth noting the opinion that the price has remained almost the same despite the considerable upgrade.
A quick summary of the SuperSport 950 S

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | For long touring |
---|---|
Advantage/Satisfactory points | It is sporty but not tiring even after a long ride. The look is much more in line with Panigale and is cooler than the previous generation. It has a solid sound that doesn't sound like OEM. |
Disadvantages/dissatisfaction points | Hot, just hot. The rear cylinder is in the middle of the thigh, so summer traffic jams are a nightmare. Of course, you can't carry things, so you have to buy stock panniers or a seat bag. |

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models | All the disappointments of the SuperSport939S have been improved. And even the design has been further refined. I was made to think that this is possible though it is a succession of the same motorcycle model. |
---|---|
Advantage/Satisfactory points | (This is a comparison with the previous SuperSport939S) - DRLs and full LED headlights - TFT color instrument panel - Reinforced body side sensors - Adoption of hydraulic clutch - More Panigale-like design (or is this sleeker?) - The basic price remains almost the same in spite of considerable upgrades. - The chassis has not changed much, so parts from the 939S can be used. - The feel of the quick shifter has been improved. - The indicator auto-canceller is added. - It is less likely to stall when starting. - Since most of the dissatisfactions (improvement requests) of the old model have been addressed, it is possible to use external parts for the new model. - The risk of customizing with external parts (at the expense of the warranty) has been eliminated. |
Disadvantages/dissatisfaction points |
- Mirror visibility is still poor. Since there are NINJA1000 and GSX-S1000F(GT) in the competition, the price is the first thing to exclude from the list. |

Ducati's Supersport series is designed to provide enough sporty performance to enjoy circuit-level sport riding while keeping the motorcycle firmly planted on public roads. The series includes a standard model and an advanced "S" model. The "S" model is equipped with an Ohlins rear shock and costs (approx.) 1365 USD more.
Also, if we consider it as an entry-level model for circuit driving, Yamaha's YZF-R7 and Aprilia's RS660 could be considered rivals, although there is a big gap in displacement and price.
