On September 23, Kawasaki released a preview video of a new product announcement in Indonesia.
The video shows only the two words「ZX」but does not reveal what model will be unveiled.
Which ZX will it be?
If we go in order, the new 2023 ZX-25R will be in the thick of things.
It is announced that Kawasaki will announce a new product in Indonesia on Saturday, October 1 at 9:00 am.
There is a two-hour time difference, so some「ZX」models should be announced at 11:00 Japan time.
The media is currently sending out scoops of the ZX-4R, and expectations are high for its official announcement, but the first priority will be the ZX-25R's compliance with emission regulations that are due at the end of this October.
There were rumors that the new ZX-25R would be updated as of 2021 with new full LCD gauges and incorporate connected features, but we have not heard from them since then. It seems likely that this will be officially announced in Indonesia, the country of production, on October 1.
However, we won't know what will actually be on offer until we open the lid. Whether it is 12R or 14R, it should be very exciting. Stay tuned for further updates.
