From the Webike Community's My Bike, the "Owner Review Summary" introduces various motorcycles based on the voices of owners who actually ride or have ridden them.
In this issue, I bring you the real owner's voice about Honda Rebel 250!

To be honest, Rebel 250 is this kind of bike!

In the light motorcycle class, where vehicle inspections are not required, the Rebel 250 is a best-selling model that is selling like hotcakes.

In 2017, the development team noticed that there were no modern motorcycles that young people could ride casually.
The development of the Rebel series started with the aim of creating just the right motorcycle that is easy to handle and low-priced anyway.

The biggest selling point is the ease of foot grounding. In addition to a fairly low seat height of 690 mm, the extremely narrow seat and straddle area make it very easy to get on and off the motorcycle. If you are worried about leg stability and are having trouble purchasing a motorcycle, you may want to try riding a Rebel 250 first.

In terms of ride quality, the low and long styling of the car does not match its large size, but its cornering characteristics are very neutral and easy to handle.

The Rebel 250 also features a great deal of ingenuity as a base vehicle for customization. For example, it is easy to replace the headlight and meter with different ones, and the rear fender behind the rider's seat can be removed by simply unbolting it, excluding wiring. It will be fun to use this Rebel 250 to customize the motorcycle to your liking once you purchase it.

The latest Rebel 250 was remodeled in 2020, and while its basic driving performance remains the same, it has received a brush-up with all lights, including the headlight, now LED, and a gear position indicator in the meter function.

Looking at the owners' comments, many of them say that it is cool. Not only is the bobber style that does not look like the 250cc class cool, but the style is also supported by the fact that the rider can choose any outfit. Although the tank has a relatively small capacity due to the emphasis on style, the fuel efficiency is very good, and it is said to travel 300 km without refueling. In terms of riding, the appeal of this vehicle is its friendliness, which allows it to be ridden casually around town or for a short distance, and the depth of its nostalgia, which allows it to be enjoyed while touring. It has become a popular model, and custom parts are abundantly available from various manufacturers, so you can enjoy customization as well.

As an area of concern, some people said that it is too far away and difficult to leave the normal position. As you can see from the style of the motorcycle, there are some difficulties with storage and loading space, and many people have added carriers or side bags.

A quick summary of Rebel 250

Advantage

- It's just so cool!
- The seat height is low, so it's easy to get a good foot grounding.
- Easy to maneuver because of its good foot grounding and lightweight
- Very good fuel economy
- Lots of custom parts

Disadvantage

- The position is hard for some people.
- No storage or loading space
- Seats are thin and cause pain in the lower back and buttocks
- There are unexpected breakdowns.

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models I switched from an SR400. The cost of vehicle inspection became a burden for me, so I decided to go with a Revul, which does not require inspection. The suspension is very good and I feel very safe. There are a lot of aftermarket parts, so I can make it to my own specifications.
Fortunately, there was stock in the store and it was delivered immediately, but if not, you need to be prepared to wait for 6 months.
Advantage/Satisfactory points Saddlebags are suitable because of the cruiser style. They are essential equipment because of the lack of load-carrying capacity. The foot grounding is good, but I also put on the engine guard to look cool. I am not dissatisfied with its performance in town riding.
It looks so big and cool that it does not look like a 250cc motorcycle.
Surprisingly, the bank angle is deep and the step has not yet touched the ground.
Disadvantages/dissatisfaction points It is good for city riding, but at high speeds, it is only comfortable at 90km/h. If I wanted to, I could probably get 120km/h, but I don't want to because the engine seems to suffer. I am dissatisfied with the lack of storage space and the fact that the seat is detachable with a hexagonal bolt. Also, the indicator button is hard to push, especially when turning right. The steering wheel is a little far away, so I recommend test-riding it if you are a small person.
Advice for prospective buyers As of 2022, it is a very popular motorcycle and there seems to be a 6-month waiting list for a new motorcycle, but check with dealers to see if they have some colors in stock. It has good foot grounding, but the position may be a little tight for tall people.
I recommend a test ride, including confirmation of the steering wheel position, and if possible, a rental to try it out slowly.

AKIRANDY

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative car models I found out about it through a door picture in a manga (haha) and fell in love with it at first sight. It is very useful for play and commuting.
Advantage/Satisfactory points ☆ Operates reasonably well
★ It handles well
☆ I get a lot of questions from women who are interested in motorcycles
★ You will want to tinker with it a lot
☆ Easy to ride
Disadvantages/dissatisfaction points I☆ It's hard to use the first speed *Improved with Tadao exhaust system
★ It is not interesting because I see it here and there.
☆ The steering wheel is too far away from the motorcycle *Improved with an external steering wheel
★ The electrical equipment of both new and old models is too much of a bother.
☆ I have to wait for a long time after ordering.
Advice for prospective buyers It may not be suitable for those who want stimulation or are bored with it, since it is already quite available and its performance is not American at all. But if you don't ask for too much, you will be happy with this motorcycle. But for now, change the exhaust system as soon as possible.

Motive for purchase, intended use, and comparative models I wanted to ride a gentle motorcycle when I got my license.
I often go long-distance touring as well as commuting.
Advantage/Satisfactory points It just looks cool. I think the only new neo-retro 250cc motorcycle that is easy to afford is the Rebel. Also, it is easy to handle.
It has a smooth grounding, so you can push and pull it like a bicycle.
For better or worse, it is a motorcycle that cannot be overpowered, so when you are riding comfortably, you will usually be able to keep within the legal speed limit.
It can be ridden down the road without stress.
As for cornering performance, once you learn the feeling of turning with your hips while feeling the body softly with your whole legs, you will get addicted to it. It turns in a surprisingly straightforward and enjoyable manner.
The tank capacity may seem small at first glance, but it is sufficient for driving more than 300 km without refueling on downhill roads because of its ridiculously high fuel efficiency.
Disadvantages/dissatisfaction points As might be expected, after 30,000 kilometers of driving, the number of breakdowns is increasing.
The problems were caused by the uneven precision of the original parts and insufficient greasing in the assembly process.
The clutch lever set was inaccurate, causing the clutch to disengage too frequently, the switch box suddenly died, and the engine suddenly blew up when riding at 80 km/h.
I guess it is a motorcycle that is worth the price.
Advice for prospective buyers It is ideal for driving down the road with ease.
Although there are individual differences, it is better to buy a new model because if you get an outlier, you will have a lot of trouble.

Check out Rebel 250's competitors

The seat height of the Rebel is 690 mm, which is the lowest in modern motorcycles. The rival that comes to mind in terms of seat height is the former Yamaha Dragstar 250. Like the Rebel, it is an American-style model characterized by its low and long form, but its seat height is also close to the Rebel's at 670 mm. The seat height is also close to the Rebel's at 670 mm, and the motorcycle is very light, making it easy to handle for beginners.
