Suzuki's Hayabusa with a new livery will be released on June 28 at Suzuki dealers in Japan that handle models with a standard ETC2.0 on-board device.
The first generation Hayabusa was launched in 1999, the second generation in 2007, and the third generation in April 2021. Under the development concept of "Ultimate Sport Bike," which has continued from the first generation, the flagship model has been well received by riders around the world for its unique design with high aerodynamic characteristics and excellent performance.
When combined with the color order plan, a total of 21 colors are available!
The highlight of the color change is the color order plan, which allows users to select exterior color combinations and front and rear wheel colors according to their preferences. This plan allows the user to select three exterior cowl colors, three exterior accent colors, and three-wheel colors, for a total of 21 color combinations, including the three standard colors. The "Hayabusa Color Order Plan" can be found on the Suzuki website.
2022 Hayabusa Details
The instantly recognizable "Hayabusa" design features sharp, edgy styling with a flowing form, bold use of surfaces, and a forward-leaning stance. The body color is a two-tone color with different accent colors from the body color used for the air intakes on the left and right sides of the front face, the sides of the body, and around the rear.
The 1,339cc inline four-cylinder engine features an electronically controlled throttle and modified intake and exhaust mechanisms to increase output and torque at low and mid-speed ranges, while pursuing aerodynamic characteristics to maintain high-speed performance. The engine complies with the 2020 domestic emission regulations.
The S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System) electronic control system features SDMS-α (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector Alpha), which allows the driver to select from five control levels, including power characteristic, traction control, and engine brake control, as well as an active speed limiter that prevents the motorcycle from exceeding a set speed.
By setting a large number of modes for various electronic controls, the system can respond to various driving situations, user preferences, and skill levels, such as city driving and touring. ETC2, a Japan-exclusive feature that enhances convenience when touring.0 OBEs are now standard equipment.
