MOTORISTS LLC, known for Japanese sales of Italian scooters such as the Lambretta, has announced the introduction of a new British company, Royal Alloy. Royal Alloy, which newly produces classic scooters from the 1960s and 1970s under the slogan "Real Classics," is an authentic manufacturer that pursues modernity that does not end at copying the models of the past, while sticking to steel monocoque construction in accordance with the style of the time. It exudes the charm of a vintage scooter's world view in a new model.
The two models that will be available in Japan are the "Royal Alloy GP," reminiscent of the Lambretta "Series 3," and the "Royal Alloy TG," a revival of the Lambretta "Series 2. Both models are in the 125cc displacement class, a category of moped motorcycles that can be easily maintained. Both are also available in air-cooled and water-cooled engine variants, making it an interesting point to be able to choose according to one's requirements. In Europe, higher-performance models, such as 300cc models, have been introduced, and the company is considering introducing these models for Japanese sales.
It has been a long time since the famous classic scooters stopped using a complete steel monocoque body. However, one manufacturer that still insists on full steel for its massive and classic atmosphere is the British company Royal Alloy. (Photo: Royal Alloy GP125)

The price is premium for the 125cc class, but the experience of enjoying the atmosphere of a vintage scooter in a new model is unique.
This model features a flowing design reminiscent of the "Series 3" Lambretta and reproduces the press lines of the DL/GP series, which were said to be the "sportiest Lambretta. The pressed side covers, polygonal aluminum headlight cases, and other features of the original design have been retained, while the fashionable paint job is selectable from 17 single colors and 5 two-tone colors.
Equipped with a 4-stroke, single-cylinder 124.2 cc engine that meets EURO-5 standards, it is available in two variants: a simple, cost-effective air-cooled version and a water-cooled version with high cooling efficiency. The meter is fully digital.
The silhouette of the 1970s Lambretta is faithfully reproduced. The sporty separate tucked-roll seat is also classic. The side covers have arrow feather style stamping.
The headlight rim is made of aluminum and is also massive. The unique polygonal design is similar to that of the classic Lambretta.
The gauges are full digital LCD. It is equipped with a fuel gauge, clock, and other modern standard equipment.
The wheels are 12 inches front and rear, and the brakes are disc brakes for modern suspension performance.
Royal Alloy TG

Manufacturer's suggested retail price: Approx. 5,028 USD (tax included)
TG125S (Water-cooled engine model)
Manufacturer's suggested retail price: Approx. 6,676 USD (tax included)
The "Royal Alloy TG" is modeled after the Lambretta of the 1690s, which dates back further than the "GP" model. This variation is also available with air-cooling or water-cooling.
This is a revival of the 1960s Lambretta "Series 2". The characteristic style, such as the long headlight bezels like a parasol and the front fenders with beautiful flared lines, have been reproduced. It is a style that was carefully designed at a high cost. The low-rider style double seat fits comfortably. A total of 10 body colors are available, including 5 single colors and 5 two-tone colors. All of them are classical, yet have a high-quality feel with the heavy full-steel coating.
Although it is a more classic model, it shares with the "GP" the modern level of functional components such as digital meters, front and rear discs, and EURO-5 compliant engines.
The headlight bezels, which resemble a visor, are faithful to the classic Lambretta model on which they are modeled. The headlights, however, are LED and modern.
