A Ride with CRF250L on the Mikabo Super Forest Road [SASA’s Touring Diary]

In this issue of Touring Diary, we are joined by SASA, a resident of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As the title suggests, this is a report on "Mikabo Super Forest Road," a great forest road for off-road riders. At less than 20 km, Mikabo Super Forest Road (Gunma Prefecture) is one of the longest in the Kanto region, and is a golden route consisting mainly of flat off-roads that can be easily enjoyed.

SASA, who has ridden CRF250L (2021) along the route, provides you with information on the newly opened road!

After hearing on the Internet that the Mikabo Super Forest Road was now fully open, I set off on the last day of Golden Week! The last time I went, it almost rained, and the time before that, it was so foggy that I couldn't see anything. I knew that from the weather forecast, but I was stupid enough to go out.

But, no matter! Not this time! I've been here for the 3rd time. Clear skies are forecast this time! Sunny mark! By the way, it took me 3 hours to get there from Yokohama.

From the observatory, you can see as far as the Northern Alps, which is exhilarating. The forest bathing. This is not a lookout point. It's nice that there are hardly any people touring the forest roads. You'll have perfect social distance!

This Nammoku village is really nice! There is no sign of anyone! I'm already addicted to this unexplored area. When I entered the hot spring, there was a guest in front of me, but after the guest left, the hot spring was reserved for a private party. I love this kind of place.
