Brief self-introduction

Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my motorcycle.
I have been riding motorcycles for 37 years. My father got me into motocross, and after I got my license, I rode all over the forest roads in the Kanto area. After that, I discovered the fun of on-road riding and have been riding ever since. Basically, I mainly do day trips on weekends, and I love both mass touring and solo touring.

How long have I've been riding this motorcycle?
It was purchased in February 2020 and has 2500k miles on it.

Motive for purchase and use

I bought this motorcycle because I wanted to ride an air-cooled inline four-cylinder again, which is now an endangered species. The reason why I chose the RS among the CB1100 series is because of its " riding" oriented suspension. I also fell in love at first sight with the beauty of the special limited edition black body. I mainly use it for touring, but I also use it to go shopping and hang around the neighborhood. In the future, I'd like to make it more like a cafe racer and make it look good with leather riders.

Satisfaction

For applications
It's a fun motorcycle for day touring, my butt doesn't hurt for 300km or so, and thanks to the assisted slipper clutch, traffic isn't too hard to deal with. The pulse of the air-cooled straight four is fun and just riding it makes me smile. And best of all, I'm satisfied with the regular fuel version, which is rare for large motorcycles.

For riding
The winding of the pass is great fun. I can't feel the fluttering and fluttering like CB1000R I used to ride, but thanks to the special suspension of the RS, I can ride it without worrying about the 252kg weight. You can enjoy the feeling of "handling the motorcycle" to the fullest. You can drive easily on the street and enjoy the scenery.

For appearance
The best thing about it is the beauty of its black body and the basic style of the naked motorcycle. A special mention must be made of the beauty of the smoothly shaped cylinder heads and the neat air-cooled fins. It is a "universal" figure that can blend into any everyday landscape.

Dissatisfaction

For applications

After all, the weight of the motorcycle is 252kg. Once you start driving, you won't feel the weight, but you will have to be careful about how you maneuver the motorcycle in parking lots and where you park it.

For riding
Would I have liked at least 100 hp? It feels like a low horsepower non-power in places. And the wind at high speeds is hard, as is the fate of naked motorcycles.

For appearance
I bought it because I liked the look of it, but it would have been nice if the twin exhaust systems were black. I don't have a lot of cargo capacity, so seat bags are a must, but I don't like the way it looks with them installed.

Summary

The modern air-cooled CB1100 series inherits the tradition of the CB750Four. It is the best motorcycle that makes you feel "I am riding a motorcycle, I want to ride everywhere". It is one of the precious motorcycles that may disappear due to emission regulation in the future.

It is highly recommended for those who want to enjoy the old-fashioned style and the throbbing of a large air-cooled inline four-cylinder. This is a motorcycle that should be ridden by young people who are not familiar with the air-cooled inline four.
