HONDA CB650R Owner Review

Webike Community "Let's Talk About Your bike! From the campaign, here's an enthusiastic narrative from "Name", who rides a CB650R!
He told us about his in-app review of the CB650R including the good, the bad, and other things he knows because he's the owner.

brief self-introduction

Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my bike.

29 years of motorcycle experience, solo touring within 300km of a day trip on holidays.

How long have you been riding this bike?

I took delivery of the car in March of 2020 and it has 1300km on it in about 2 months.

Purchase motive and purpose

I let go of my ZZR1100 that I've owned for over 20 years and replaced it, a little lighter than the ZZR. I've been thinking about buying a new bike for the last 3 or 4 years to make it easier to handle. Candidates are SV650, Z650 and Z800, and among them, four-cylinder CB650F is a good bike. I thought it would be a good idea, but the price was too high and the fact that I didn't like the design made it a candidate, but I couldn't make a decision, and time passed... Thank goodness we waited! I waited a year from the model change to go to the Honda Dealer for a golden opportunity. There was a test drive car, so I took it for a test drive and made an immediate decision. This is my first Honda car.

Satisfactory/advantages

For the purpose

Since I can't go on an overnight touring since I have a family, I mainly go on day trips, so if I have a tank capacity of 15 liters, I can cover 300km.

For running

First of all, when you step on it, it is light and the footing is good. The engine is smooth like a motor with smooth rotation like a precision machine. The impression is completely different from the ZZR that was a carburetor. However, the sound of the muffler has a good sound with a good low tone. The sound of the muffler is the latest trend in sound tuning.
To put it simply, it feels like a 400 with 750 class power and turns well! To put it simply, the bike feels like a 400, with 750 class power and turns well. The front end of the bike is very stable and it feels like the bike will turn on its own. I don't have to worry about the corners. I mostly ride down the road in touring, so I can make light turns in the mountain roads and in the city. It's safe and fast. Also, the slipper clutch is very easy to use. It's lighter to operate than the D-Tracker I use for commuting.

For appearance

One of the deciding factors for me to choose this bike is that the exhaust pipe is the key to its design, unlike other models in the CB series I think it is. Overall, I like the custom design of the CB650F.

Disadvantages/weaknesses

For the purpose

It may depend on the make of the bike, but my Honda bike doesn't have a lever adjuster, so I had to change it. Ta. It's convenient for Kawasaki bikes because they have an adjuster for both the brake and clutch sides. Hey. In addition, there's no helmet holder, so if you retrofit it, you'll have two keys.

For running

The grip is lower and farther away than it looks, so the forward leaning is stronger for me (height 165cm) and it is not an easy position in naked and it is the same impression as ZZR.
It is not suitable for high speed cruising because there is no cowl. The screen is not thought at present.

For appearance

Rear fender design. The rear fender is cut off extremely short, which makes the fender longer and makes it look like a bird's mouth. It looks like... But if you look at it closely, it looks like a doca monster, so maybe it's not so bad. The manufacturer has come up with the idea to make it fenderless, so I'm not sure if the overall design will be compromised. I'm going to ride like this for now.

Summary (Recommended for people like this, etc.)

You like to run more than travel. If you're considering the 600-750 class from the liter class, you like 4 cylinders and you like the design. The transfer from SS, etc. Since the tandem seat is flat, if you put a normal seat bag on it, there's plenty of room for a day trip or overnight touring. . I think the CBR is better for those who need wind protection, and the Adventure is better beyond that. The fact that it looks like a round-eyed head puts it in the genre of naked or neo-retro. I think it's a little different from both. If you're looking for a bike that's sportier than the Naked and more practical than the Streetfighter. Isn't it a perfect fit?
