The new model 675SR-R was unveiled at the 5th CFMOTO DAY held at the Zhejiang International Circuit in China on July 13, 2024. CFMOTO, which will also compete in Moto2 from 2024, will enhance its sports image with the new three-cylinder machine.

The in-line 3-cylinder super sports motorcycle is planned for global expansion

China's CFMOTO is also active in motorsports, starting in Moto3 in 2022 and teaming up with the Asper team to enter Moto2 in 2024. In Moto3, which is now in its third year, David Alonso is on a roll, winning his fifth victory of the season at the Italian GP in June.

Moto2 has just begun, but based on his performance in Moto3, we may see him eventually make it to the top. The new model 675SR-R, which inherits that image, was unveiled for the first time as a super sports car equipped with the same in-line three-cylinder engine as the Moto2 machine.

At the CFMOTO day, the specifications were announced: weight 175kg, maximum power output 95hp (96.3PS), maximum torque 70Nm (7.12kg-m), and lightweight stand out. On the other hand, the maximum power output is modest compared to the Daytona 675, which has a maximum power output of over 120PS. Detailed specifications and prices have not yet been announced.

The 675SR-R is said to be a global product, and it will likely be released in Europe and the US. In May, a demo vehicle painted in the Asper team colors was unveiled in Europe, and the branding is in line with the Grand Prix participation, opening up the developed market. We will be keeping an eye on developments to see if it will become a hit.

It is unclear whether the frame is dry or equipped, but considering the lightweight body weighing 175 kg, it is assumed that the frame is made of aluminum. The seat cowl is ultra-compact, but since it has a pillion footpeg, it is likely to be able to accommodate two people.
