Team LRP Poland’s long-term participation in the FIM Endurance World Championship was recognised at the Polski Związek Motorowy’s prize-giving gala, held at the Polish Olympic Committee headquarters in the capital Warsaw yesterday (Sunday).

The BMW-powered Formula EWC outfit “received a special award” from the Polish motorsport federation “for representing Poland in the international arena”, according to social media post. Bartłomiej Lewandowski's team has been competing in the FIM Endurance World Championship for years, as one of the leading independent teams of the strongest Formula EWC class.*

And there was more reason for Team LRP Poland celebration with Marek Szkopek receiving his trophy for winning the Polish Superbike title and Lewandowski being honoured as vice-champion of the Polish Superstock 1000 category.

Lewandowski said: Such a successful season is the result of many years of very hard work by the whole team and the great passion we share together with our competitors, technical head Marcin Kolanowski, a great team of mechanics from Politechnika Wrocławska and our partners, with Pirelli Polska and BMW at the forefront. I would like to thank them all very much not only for this season, but for all the years we spent on the track as a racing family.

Szkopek said: Thank you for this wonderful season to my family, the fans and the whole LRP Poland team. There have been a lot of emotions and intense fights, both in the national and international arena, ending in the best possible way: on the top of the podium.
