Bringing Out the Best in Retro: HONDA DAX125 Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "HONDA DAX125" custom by Webike community user "Pu-taro". The owner, who also owns many other bikes, from supersport to dirt bikes, purchased this DAX125 for his wife to use for shopping and as a fun ride for himself. The exhaust has been upgraded to a MORIWAKI Full Exhaust MONSTER, which pairs the signature "MORIWAKI Monaka" with this retro looking bike, enhancing its vintage style. The subtle logo engraved on the aluminum silencer blends seamlessly with the bike. The improved throttle response at low speeds and increased power across the rev range make for better acceleration at startup, and control even on rough terrain. The exhaust is equipped with a heat guard as standard, using a triple-layer structure to protect the rider's legs. At low RPMs, it delivers a pleasant, thumping sound, while at higher revs, this aluminum monaka exhaust creates a crisp, dynamic tone.
For the front, a KITACO Front Rack and a HONDA Front Basket have been installed, boosting practicality and load capacity. The addition of an H2C Soft Emblem under the seat gives the DAX an extra dose of charm. The rear end has been lightened with a KITACO Fender Eliminator Kit, and a KITACO License Plate Holder has been added for protection, enhancing strength and giving the rear a cleaner look. The engine has been upgraded with an NGK MotoDX Plug and a WirusWin Hyper Valve, ensuring reliable starting even in cold or humid conditions. The air filter has also been swapped out for an SP Takegawa Power Filter, improving air intake efficiency and boosting overall torque.
The handlebars are adorned with a miniature anime character, bringing a cheerful atmosphere to every ride. This bike serves as a convenient companion for everyday tasks like shopping, while also offering a comfortable, relaxed ride on short tours. The more you ride it, the more enjoyable it becomes.
