KITACO gear position indicator with tachometer! Lineup coming for Honda 125cc models!
We have received information from motorcycle parts manufacturer KITACO that they are developing gear position indicators for the JB03/05 Monkey 125, JA65 CT125 Hunter Cub (Trail 125)/JB04 Dax 125, and JB06 Dax 125. Pricing and release date are undecided at this time.
KITACO's anticipated indicator lineup!
Actually, KITACO just recently released indicators for the JB02 Monkey 125 and JA55 CT125 Hunter Cub (Trail 125). They were also exhibited at this year's Motorcycle Show and received a great response from both Monkey and CT125 riders due to their stylish appearance. They are already available at Webike, so if you are interested, please take a look (links at the end of this article).
The new products that are under development will be compatible with more recent models, with one for the JB03/05 Monkey 125 and one for the JA65 CT125 Hunter Cub (Trail 125)/JB04 DAX. The lineup will also include the JB06 DAX 125, increasing the number of gear position indicators available for Honda 125-class gear shift bikes. The JA65 CT125 Hunter Cub/JB04 DAX 125 version will be a single product compatible with both models.
Although they are separated by model, the basic construction is the same. The differences are things like the couplers needed for assembly, but the basic functions are all the same. While the above three types are scheduled for release, no definite release date, price, or other information has yet been announced.
Looks like it was there all along! Multifunctional indicator with tachometer!
One of the key points of KITACO's indicators, besides their stylish appearance that blends in perfectly after installation, is that they are equipped with a variety of functions.
First, regarding the shift display, a contact-type gear position sensor is used, enabling display of 1st to 5th gears (up to 4th for some models). The bar graph tachometer has eight LED lamps, and the number of LEDs lit changes in accordance with the RPM. With this visualization the timing for shifting gears can be more clearly identified.
Furthermore, the rider can set a particular RPM for the indicator to flash at to remind them to shift gears, and even if the displayable RPM is exceeded, the bar graph will flash to inform the rider that the engine is over-revving.
Other features include a timer display function that shows the time elapsed from when the power is turned on, and a battery voltage display at startup. These indicators are truly multifunctional, with detailed settings for the display method and LED brightness adjustment.
