MAGICAL RACING's HAYABUSA

Magical Racing, first known as an FRP parts manufacturer, expanded their carbon parts lineup around the time of the bike customization boom in the mid-1990s. Today, they are well known to fans as an indispensable brand for customizing their machines, exterior parts and mirrors being just some of their go-to products. They have produced many parts for the HAYABUSA since the first generation model was released, and continue to be popular with HAYABUSA riders. In the spring of 2022, the company released a new line of products for the current HAYABUSA under the name “HAYABUSA Bodyworks". The photos in this article show a demo bike equipped with these parts. We asked Mr. Kubo, the company's public relations manager, about their aims in releasing this line of products.

"As you know, we have made carbon products for both the first and second generation HAYABUSA, both of which were long selling models, and our products for those two have also been selling well for a long time. When the third generation debuted in 2021, we had of course decided to develop parts for it, but we knew that this model would also be in production for a long period of time. So, we decided to take the time to build the product lineup and increase the number of products in order to meet the needs of various users. That's why the lineup was completed and released in the spring of 2022," says Kubo.

The lineup includes many parts, such as a carbon trim windshield, carbon monocoque body Racer Replica mirrors and meter cover, and of course, standard parts such as front and rear fenders. Also noteworthy is the increase in products that push functionality to the forefront, such as caliper cooling ducts and frame guards. The precision of the products, which are made in Japan and carefully hand-crafted one by one, cannot be overlooked.

"Our motto for product production is 'light, strong, functional, and cool', and the products in the current HAYABUSA line also embody this concept. They will match with any body color, not just the white of this demo bike,” says Kubo. With an aggressive style that adds to Magical Racing's solid standard, not only HAYABUSA owners, but all customization fans should take a look at these parts.

Handle

The Meter Cover enhances the already high quality of the Gen 3 HAYABUSA, and a unified look can be enjoyed by using it with the Carbon Trim Windshield.

The space connecting the cowl to the body is made of resin on the stock bike, but replacing it with a Carbon Cowl Inner Panel like this will enhance the gallant look.

Bodyworks

Both the Carbon Trim Windshield and Racer Replica Mirrors have been particularly popular since they were released for the Gen 3 HAYABUSA.

These Frame Guards prevent the rider's body from coming into contact with the frame, which can rise to very high heats. New ducts have been added for the current HAYABUSA model to actively cool the frame.

With the high-end style of the HAYABUSA, you can remove the long stock rear fender and use this carbon fiber Fender Eliminator Kit to create a sporty look.

You'll want to equip this Front Fender, a standard Magical Racing product, not just for the looks, but also the precision mounting, light weight, and high rigidity.

The Under Cowl has an oil pan function to stop oil from dripping onto the ground in the event of an oil leak. It also streamlines the look of the undercarriage. Magical Racing products, including but not limited to those for the HAYABUSA, are not only notable for their looks and functionality, but also for their precision installation (i.e., the feeling of being able to attach the product tightly and comfortably).

Chassis

Ducts for cooling brake calipers, which have become a staple in top level racing, are also included in the lineup for the high-performance HAYABUSA.

If you convert the frame guards to carbon, you'll also want to install a Carbon Swingarm Cover to enhance the overall look.
