LOW JUNKEY's MONKEY
The owner has been playing around with Chalys and DAXs for about 10 years. While many 4mini customs have flashy decorated cowls nowadays, this Monkey has no cowl. Despite its low height, it is not just an ornament but it can be ridden. The exhaust and swingarm inevitably rub against the ground, and the owner made a surprising statement, saying, "The exhaust pipe and sway bar are consumable parts."
Noteworthy is the suspension, with the 4.75J front wheel fitted as if it were squeezed between the stock forks, and the rear is a 6.75J using a KEPSPEED swingarm. Details, such as the minimal clearance between the fenders and the chassis to make the body low, and the use of an A-type monkey top bridge to match the height of the visor for balance, are carefully considered.
Handle
To prevent the handlebar area from sticking out over the light visor, the top bridge has been changed to an A-type Monkey top bridge, and Tsurumi Works handlebars have been modified and installed.
Bodyworks
The glittery blue body color is simple and suits the bike, but there are plans to change the color in the future. The tank decals were made specifically to match its body color.
Engine
Even though an SP Takegawa dry clutch is installed, a wire pull was selected for control instead of a hydraulic clutch to give it an old-fashioned look.
The way the piping is routed to the oil cooler, the choice of nylon mesh oil-resistant hoses, and even the coloring of the fittings and electrical parts are all consistent and look good.
This is truly pushing the limits!
Intake & Exhaust
Each part is made entirely of metal. Plating is easy, but the effort put into the buffed parts is significant.
The exhaust system is made by M-Kids and processed by Mizuno Sheet Metal to match the body.
The low body makes it physically impossible to avoid the exhaust pipe rubbing on the ground. In customization, it is crucial to make clear decisions!
Chassis
With wider forks, it is possible to make the wheel thicker, but equipping the thickest wheel possible while keeping the stock forks makes it more interesting. Additionally, the forks have been cut by about 12cm.
The rotor is one-off as the commercial ones stand out too much.
The extremely short side stand is made from the mounting bracket and repositioned so that it does not interfere with the OVER rearsets. Note that the step bar is made by Mizuno Sheet Metal.
The rear wheel is a special 6.75J size. Two thick spacers were used on the brake side of the G-Craft aluminum wheel, and a 0.5J spacer was inserted in the center to properly fit the wheel. The rear shock is a machined OKD 205mm.
