Enhanced Low-mid RPM Range: ZX-25R Custom
STRIKER's ZX-25R
This popular straight-4 cylinder 250cc model, ZX-25R, was built by STRIKER to show off the benefits of silencer replacement. The clean blowing and matching exhaust sound is a unique characteristic and privilege of the inline 4-cylinder engine. In the past, exhaust brands focused on power output, but today, with various regulations tightened, the main purpose of exhaust system modification is to enjoy that sound with better quality. And, the material is also important in terms of weight saving and appearance. Considering these aspects gives uniqueness to motorcycle.
The exhaust system has a STRIKER SC Full Exhaust OFF-TypeB JMCA. Its piping is organized in 4-2-1 collection, the same way as the stock ZX-25R. but with the addition of a bypass pipe connecting the exhaust pipes to make up for the lack of torque that is felt with the stock exhaust. This can actually be felt in the daily use range where the throttle is often used, and the torque from the beginning of throttling seems to have been reinforced. Of course, the torque extends well to high rpm, and the speed at which it reaches that rpm is also faster. In terms of weight, the silencer alone is 5.3 kg lighter than stock, which is a significant weight reduction for a 250cc class machine. In terms of appearances, this bike is equipped with a titanium heated silencer, and while the silencer, tail pipe, and a exhaust system from the full cowl is a little visible from the outside, the high quality of titanium can be felt. This silencer is available only in titanium, however, it reflects the needs of users and the Ninja ZX-25R's position as the only 4-cylinder supersport in its class. The choice of materials and manufacturing techniques were appropriate for a bike of such high quality. STRIKER's Ninja ZX-25R custom also features their special rearsets kit that helps the rider feel more unified with the bike, a radiator core guard to protect various parts, sliders, and other parts that are often the first custom to be considered on a modern model. This custom may be noteworthy for every riders, from beginners to experienced riders who were already satisfied with the stock ZX-25R.
Intake & Exhaust
The layout of 4-2-1 pipe collection is the same style as the stock ZX-25R. According to the manufacturer STRIKER, the shape of the 4-2/2-1 part, which affects low- and mid-range RPM characteristics, took a lot of trial and error. The exhaust pipes are also titanium, and as you can see from the cowl, the #1-2 and #3-4 are connected by a bypass pipe.
While the stock silencer is a super short type with a large sound deadening chamber prepared under the swingarm pivot, this STRIKER's SC Full Eexhaust keeps a standard style. Of course, it is a JMCA certified product, and there is absolutely no discomfort in its appearance when installed.
All materials except the carbon end caps are titanium. The silencer is available in three surface finishes: Titanium Heat (shown in the photo), Titanium Solid, and CK Black (matte black with Cerakote). The STRIKER model weighs 3.5kg, which is overwhelmingly lighter than the stock part 8.8kg.
Chassis
The step bar position is adjustable in 6 positions, which is standard on the Ninja ZX-25R SE and compatible with the OEM quick shifter. The position setting in tha picture is 30mm upper and 30mm backward, and is really applicable for a sport riding.
Made of duralumin with black hard-anodized finish, and it is available for optional reverse change and color order.
Engine
The guard sliders, which are attached to both sides of the bike to protect it when falling over, have a duralumin base and a Duracon body. The photo shows the standard version, which is available in several color combinations.
