Ideal Upgrades: SUZUKI GSX-R750 Custom by TG-RUN
TG-RUN's GSX-R750
"This model has the best size, position, and engine, and if the most current electronic control system is added to it, it will be a very good racing spec machine," says Mr. Sugimoto of Technical Garage RUN regarding this TG-RUN Complete based on the GSX-R750 2012 L2 model. The weight reduction of various parts and the high quality of operation and looks were customized in the same way as their "Version Up Complete" (the name given to TG-RUN full custom machines) menu, and we can honestly say that for fans of the GSX-R750, this is the perfect bike. The GSX-R750 L2, which is the base for this custom, was the successor to the fully modified L1 model from the previous year; in comparison to the L0 from one more year prior, the L1 has narrower front and rear overhangs and the wheelbase is 15mm shorter to improve mobility.
The GSX-R750 was released from racing regulations in 2004 when Superbike regulations were changed from 750 to 1000cc, but from the 2004 K4 model, it shared its base with the GSX-R600, adopting the same compactness. The R750 basically just changed the racing-based 600 into a 750cc engine in order for its advantages to be experienced on the street. Mr. Sugimoto says that the compact size and the engine's ability to accelerate are the most notable qualities of the past GSX-R models. As mentioned at the beginning of this article, if there were a model in this series (GSX-R750 L1 onward) with an updated electrical system, it would be so highly regarded that it would in a sense be ideal.
However, the stock model is designed so that many different people can ride it under a variety of conditions. While respecting this, TG-RUN's "Version Up Complete" customs enhance the performance desired by each owner. In order for the input from the rider to be more reliably transmitted to the chassis the step is changed from a cast/pressed product to a billet product made of a different material to increase rigidity. Brembo master cylinders are chosen for their ability to more finely adjust the input and to provide the rider with a better feel for the operation of the brakes. Like the master cylinders, Brembo brake calipers are chosen for their high effectiveness and operability. Ohlins suspensions are similarly chosen because they eliminate the tediousness of operation, reduce bouncing and unnecessary back-and-forth movement of the bike, and allow the rider to concentrate on riding, thereby reducing fatigue. Marchesini forged wheels are used for their lightweight forged wheel characteristics, as well as their ability to rotate in a perfect circle. And all of these parts have the advantage that they can be overhauled by TG-RUN.
This bike is packaged with these recommended parts that are all backed by the shop's know-how. The master cylinders, step position, and suspension can be set up to suit the owner. This means that the bike can be optimized for whoever purchases it. With all of these advantages combined this is definitely a machine that any fan of this model would want to get their hands on.
