Closer to A Racer’s Look: CB1100R Custom
Tajima Engineering's CB1100R
The Honda CB1100RC, which follows the original coloring pattern but uses mainly blue for a sharp image, has 17-inch front and rear wheels. Reinforcement welding on various parts of the frame and modifications to the fuel tank give the bike a one-off look that only Tajima Engineering could achieve.
The engine was assembled with RSC (HRC's predecessor) pistons, and the transmission, although a 5-speed, was changed to a cross-ratio. The crankshaft was also lightened. The frame was reinforced in 20 places using their standard method for bikes with 17-inch wheels front and rear, and the fuel tank is a CB1100R stock aluminum with a quick charger.
Bodyworks
The fuel tank is stock CB1100R aluminum, but the upper side was modified to quick charger specifications. The stock red part was changed to blue, and silver stripes were added.
The single seat cowl is stock for the CB1100RD with a new seat. The front and rear blinkers are Kellermann Bullet Atto with ultra-compact LEDs.
Engine
Stock engine with RSC pistons, Sunnyside 1100 big valves, and a 5-speed cross transmission. The power generation system has also been strengthened and ported. The frame was reinforced in 20 places in the Tajima style, including the neck, the lower half double pipes, and the left and right loop connection pipes.
Intake & Exhaust
The carburetor is an FCR 37mm diameter with a K&N air filter. The exhaust system is a Mizuno Motors 4-1 titanium megaphone.
Chassis
The upside-down fork is an Ohlins FGRT207 for the ZX-14R, and the front fender is the stock part of ZX-14R. The front brake is AP Racing's CP7853 forged machined 2-piece caliper with Sunstar Premium Racing brake disc rotors. And βTitanium 64 titanium bolts and axles are used.
The rear shocks are Aragosta, and the swingarm is handmade aluminum by Wheelie. Lower braces were added to improve appearance. The wheels are forged magnesium alloy MAGTAN JB4 with front and rear sizes of 3.50-17 and 6.00-17 inches, and the rear chainline is custom matched.
Rear brakes are CP4226 with AP Racing machined 2-piston calipers and Sunstar custom discs. The rearsets are made by OVER Racing.
