Mr. Randy's GROM(MSX125)

In this article, we will take a closer look at the GROM(MSX125) custom owned by Webike user, Mr. Randy. His interest in customization was sparked in 2014. At that time, there weren't many GROM(MSX125)s available on the market. However, the abundance of options for custom parts kept him consistently engaged in the process of customization. The base is an HRC Edition. It has been gradually modified over time, and the customization is still ongoing to this day.

In line with the bike's original theme, the choice of parts also reflects a racing influence. Well known brands like SP Takegawa, Akrapovic, Kitaco, Ohlins, Brembo, Over Racing, and Daytona are featured. Let's delve into the details.

Intake & Exhaust

For the exhaust, he opted for an Akrapovic Titanium Header and Titanium Slip-on Exhaust.

The distinctive header and exhaust accent colors make this bike even more attractive and powerful.

Electrical

The meter panel features an SP Takegawa Super Multi TFT Meter. As the name suggests, it includes a speedometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and clock.

It is also designed with a highly visible LCD display, allowing the rider to clearly see the indicators while riding.

Engine

The engine is equipped with Stage Big Bore Kit 181cc, Big Throttle Body Kit, Super Oil Pump, Ignition Coils, TAF 5-gear Close-Ratio Transmission, and other parts from SP Takegawa. The oil cooler is a Kitaco Super Oil Cooler Kit.

Its complementary components, such as MotoDX NGK Spark Plugs, K&N Air Filters, High-pressure Fuel Pumps, and SP Takegawa Oil Drain Bolts, are also noteworthy.

Chassis

The Brake Calipers are Brembo Front Caliper 4P and Brembo Rear Caliper 2P. The Caliper Brackets are from Active and Over Racing.

The front and rear brake hoses are HEL Brake Hoses. The unique looking discs are made by Racing Boy.

The front and rear shocks are made by Ohlins, whose quality is unquestionable.

The gold color further enhances the bike's appearance.

Bodyworks

In keeping with the theme, this GROM(MSX125) showcases HRC's signature appearance. The painting was carried out by Freeflow Custom with a full custom hand-painting and airbrushing technique, which even includes the application of decals.

The belly pan is Petex Racing's white color.
