This kit is nice but the piston head has recessed slots and if your spark or timing is off the valve can catch on the piston head and cause the intake valve to bend. This is something that something that sounds like a "burrrt" when giving some throttle between 1st and 2nd gear.. It's your valve catching the piston making that noise. I used a takegawa piston with the NEO kit and have had zero issues, however the Kitaco piston cost me a new head and revert back to Takegawa piston. Took the head off to assess the damage after the odd noises and it seems as if the piston is the culprit of the malfunction. The OS valves and the recessed slots might be a recipe for disaster but there are others who run this kit without any issues. I used to think Kitaco was made in Japan like Takegawa but recently learned that Kitaco is from Taiwan. I only speak of quality presented from these nations and not a biased opinion. However I suggest a CNC piston and or Takegawa piston instead of the Kitaco to run with the neo head. The crankshaft is nice. View Detail
