The Daytona Cozy that I ordered does fit the 1982 and 1983 Katana models. I looked all over the States and tried to have someone make a seat for me as my original one was looking old. When shown the picture of the Daytona Cozy Seat the people I spoke with said that they couldn\'t touch the price of the seat if they had tried to copy it. The person I took the foam and seat cover to did charge me $130 to take the old seat cover and foam off and put the new on which I thought was a bit too much but I was in a hurry to get it done so I let them do it. Needless to say they did a great job and the seat looks perfect. It is not the silver and blue like the original but the prices for an original are crazy. I have not had a chance to ride the bike as I am getting my gas tank painted but the seat looks very well constructed and I am hoping the foam is better than the 30 year old foam that was on the orginal. I would not hesitate to order another Daytona Cozy seat for any other model that they make. View Detail
It is used for 90 model 1100 katana. It is charmed by the pattern of the yoshimura 1135R and purchases. I think that this price is cheap by the set of urethane foam and facing. Not a great fitting seat, had to remove the plastic tool box lid under the seat for it to go into place properly. Once fitted there is a gap around the bottom of the seat where you can see parts of the fairing you couldn't see with the original. View Detail
I absolutelly love this seat! I am a fan of Daytona seat products. I had to use the locking bracket from my other seat, but very easy to install on new Daytona seat. Feels comfortable when I ride and, good seating postion. If you have your footpegs adjusted properly you will sit in a good position on the seat. The product exceeded all my expectations. The seat is very comfortable and its workmanship is demanding. I think it reduces the seat height by more than 1.5 cm. I'm 178 cm tall and I couldn't put my foot down from the factory seat in such a way that I felt like I was holding the bike steady. But with the Cozy seat, my feet reach the ground perfectly and stably, I feel that in any emergency situation I can hold the motorcycle without it falling over. About quality and texture - The foam and the cover are well made. The foam is the correct density and the cover is thick and the stamping is nicely done.About the feeling of use - The foam feels like a brand new Yamaha seat (so much better than your old well used 40year old, collapsed foam) and the material of the cover is not slippery when riding and it grabs the rider well.Products to buy together - There is also a grab strap available on the website if you want to add that. Daytona also offer a fully built version of this seat with base and grab handle for those who dont want to resuse their original seat base.Difficulty of installation - The foam and the cover both fit the original base very well with no problems. Fitting any cover is a bit of a game but its worth noting that even though this is a thick cover that it stretches well and fits properly so I didnt find it a particularly hard cover to fit.Cost performance and comparison with other products - The foam is at least as good as the other foams available in Europe, and the cover is thicker and better made in my view that other covers I have fitted.About shipping and packaging - Well packed by Webike and comes with what looks like a large showercap gathered plastic cover which is good to keep and put on the seat when storing your bike.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For those outside of Japan, this is the Japanese 4L3 style cover so has embossed pattern on the top, running the length of the seat. This may or many not be an issue for you as it is not the smooth original style of your seat's original cover if you have say a 4L0, 4L1, 5E0, 5E1 etc.View Detail
[How is it used? I destroyed the return of the Brake switch that was originally attached to the YAMAHA/TZr50R during Restore. Replaced with a new one. Compatible part number is 3MW-83980-00.
How was your experience with it? It's working fine Installation is also easy, as it is simply attached to the Master Cylinder.

However, when the handlebar was cut to the Left lock, it interfered with the interior cover next to the Meter, so the interior cover was cut away. I also purchased a 45° angled banjo adapter for the mesh hose to accommodate the tension of the mesh hose. ・NORMAL (Reserve integrated horizontal master) Impressions of No complaints on public roads. Familiar feel and very easy to handle. However, when the brake is set to "hard brake," the rate of increase in braking force relative to the input seems to decrease, and the brake becomes more forceful. Radipon (Reserve separate body portrait master) Impressions of It was totally different from what I expected, my expectation was that it would feel like a Rear brake… It is really a mild and easy-to-handle radipon. On public roads, it feels like NORMAL! I wonder if it's because NORMAL is the same NISSIN? But I felt the radipon effect from Breaking a little stronger, and It can be hung up to a hard brake without effort. I felt trust that this could stop.View Detail
