Used on KLX125's rear tire. Replaced the same D605 with new ones. Still had plenty of Block left, but I replaced it early as I often go to the woods.
There are few tires to choose from for the KLX125. The MotocrossTire has a good off-road performance, but it can be used for on-road riding as well. The performance is no good, so I'm not comfortable with the public roads until I get to the forest roads, and I chose the D605 for its on-road security.
The Tire I received from webike had a new manufacturing date and was perfectly fresh. When this size D605 was first released, it was made in Thailand, but now it is made in Indonesia. The reason is because it is too heavy and the head is too hard to install. 18-inches D605 is very different in weight from the D605 made in Indonesia and it is very hard to assemble.
This 16in. D605 is also heavy. It weighs about 4kg and is heavier than the previous "Made in Thailand" model.
It took me a long time to replace it, because it's always Indonesia-made D605. It was very cold in winter, but I had a hard time to remove it. I had to cut the bead to get it off.
I chose a warm day for the installation and let the Rubber feel warm in the sunshine for a while, then applied a generous coat of Bead cream and assembled it. The new one is still soft and the installation was completed without much trouble thanks to the Bead cream.
After assembly, I tried to take the WheelBalance off and it required over 30g of lead. Not so good for accuracy?
It's the same as the D605,Off performance is only so-so, but the stability on it is excellent, even if you use it to the end of the tread with the deep banked angle of the Off car, it shows stable cornering performance.
If you bank the bike like MotocrossTire, the bike will roll a lot, so we try to keep the banking to a minimum. Since the motorcycle is lightweight and inefficient, the climbs are surprisingly easy. The 250Machine with the same weight and power as the D605 only digs into the ground and won't go any further, but it does a good job of going uphill.
The domestic D605 wears out fast, but what about the Indonesian made ones? I still haven't run it enough to wear it out, so I'd like to see how it holds up in the future.
I want Dunlop to improve the quality of Indonesia-made Thailand and other products. I want them to be on the same Level as the ones made in Japan.
