When I bought it 3 years ago, the manufacturer unknown Rear suspension that was installed on it was in almost Solidly Rigid suspensionw condition, and it was the first part of the car that was not in danger of being ridden, and it was the first part that was touched up.
I had used them before on a CB400SF, and I liked the good ground feel and the sticky movement on the turnaround, so I didn't hesitate to buy them (← you could say that this was a mistake).
As for installation, the Right Side is pompously installed with no problems. The key to installing the DamperUnit is to cover the upper mounting point with several sheets of washer to prevent the DamperUnit from being at an angle. If you don't do it properly, it will put unnecessary strain on the Rubber Bush and the ROD part will be overloaded and will shorten its life.
Then, when I tried to install the Left Side, there was a problem. The ReserveUnit section will interfere with the Assist Grip on the Left Side.
Note:It's not OHLINS' fault here, it's just my fault for not realizing that KATANA was applicable after Aniva.
Oh … that's why Katana's Damper is pretty much the only one without a Reserve tank. (Polish) ! … and, not being impressed, I initially removed the Grip and used it, but it was still inconvenient without it.
After all, I made the grinder on the interfering part of the Grip to make the surface flat and to secure some clearance.
It looks quite narrow, but it doesn't seem to be a problem because there are no dents on the paint of Grip even if it is full bottomed.
The ride quality is not as smooth as Solidly, but the tires stick to the road surface without bouncing even on the roughest of surfaces. OHLINS is a good job as always.
3.5 years and about 10,000 miles on it and so far, no feeling of being out of it or oil leaks. I think the durability is good.
I'm sure he'll continue to do his best to support his weight as much as a little wrestler...View Detail
After all OHLINS is good! It is supple and stiff, and it runs well. Corner's ground feeling is different. I think that I was good to buy it. There is a sense of security. I guess there is only a price high... View Detail
Since pure Sas who took the side of the car body purchased in medieval times was seemingly hopeless, this was used at the time of a Restore.Although the gold of a Reserver tank looks showy a little, a Spring is also calmly visible to the whole black. Moreover, although there is also a little cheaper thing by other Manufacturers, if it is this price in the OHLINS considered to be the most famous for a Rear-suspension Manufacturer, and it thinks from fields, such as Schopp, future part supply, etc. which can be overhauled, I will think that a Cost performance is also good.View Detail
It attached to GSX1100S domestic specification by the Kobe unicorn recommendation. Improvement in clear straight line stability and improvement in the rear stare of the secondary revolution in a cornering which are understood from immediately after exchange. He learned the illusion that it became nice one step. Improved efficiency is distinct even if Sas before exchange deducts the part which had deteriorated. (Since the motorcycle itself is purchased with the new car, improvement is distinct even if compared with the feeling at the time of a new car.) He is recommended Sas.View Detail
Honestly was expecting more from it, took it to a suspension shop to tune to my spec, is it worth 1400 Aud, approximately 300 Aud FeDex and about 300 Aud custom clearance? Maybe. Looks nice, I had a couple of good Ohlins shocks on my track bikes which offered more adjustment and when acceleration it is night and day difference, but the category of this bike is still a more naked/sport touring bike, maybe my mindset is wrong, rode about 200kms now, I have done: heavy, sharp, smooth acceleration, top speed, low speed, stoppies, some twisties, did not meet my performance level exception, but again, maybe Ohlins intentionally wants more comfort rather than performance? Great looking tho, texture and everything up to Ohlins standard, this is just a short term review, who knows, maybe the setting for currently is all wrong, might have to tune it again. Will write a long term experience later but currently that's how I feel.View Detail
The best investment ever for my bike. It really transformed it. Perfect fit. It includes everything you need for a proper installation. Adjustment is required to your weight and riding style.View Detail
This was a upgrade from a GO Race tuned rear shock. Granted the go race most likely needed to be serviced, but this was big improvment. I can't say it's worth the money unless you just want to spend some money...but nice if you do. View Detail
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the rear shock absorber from Ohins, only the best materials used and surface finishes obtained as you would expect for the price. Almost exclusively made from aluminium to keep the weight down and anodised for durability. About the feeling of use: The look of this rear shock absorber fitted to the Grom is sensational and the feel from the rear end while riding is like a completely different motorcycle now, with the ability to adjust pre-load, rebound and compression the adjustments are endless. Products to buy together: The Ohlins fork insert kit would also be desirable to purchase along side their rear shock absorber but sadly is not currently available here on Webike so would need to be purchased elsewhere. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about an hour, only 2 bolts holding it in place, I removed the rear hugger, seat and rear plastics then supported the rear of the motorcyce with an A frame and strap. A little difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: An extremely expensive option for a rear shock absorber for the Grom but if you have the money to spare you will not be disappointed. Any aftermarket rear shock absorber will be better then the Honda one and the options available from YSS should be looked at if your budget is limited. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: Specifically designed for the JC61 model Honda Grom so the fit and operations is perfect. View Detail
View Detail
?attachment The CBR650R is mounted at the same position angle as the NORMAL. However, when the handlebar was cut to the Left lock, it interfered with the interior cover next to the Meter, so the interior cover was cut away. I also purchased a 45° angled banjo adapter for the mesh hose to accommodate the tension of the mesh hose. ・NORMAL (Reserve integrated horizontal master) Impressions of No complaints on public roads. Familiar feel and very easy to handle. However, when the brake is set to "hard brake," the rate of increase in braking force relative to the input seems to decrease, and the brake becomes more forceful. Radipon (Reserve separate body portrait master) Impressions of It was totally different from what I expected, my expectation was that it would feel like a Rear brake… It is really a mild and easy-to-handle radipon. On public roads, it feels like NORMAL! I wonder if it's because NORMAL is the same NISSIN? But I felt the radipon effect from Breaking a little stronger, and It can be hung up to a hard brake without effort. I felt trust that this could stop.View Detail
