Last week I received the rearsets that I ordered from Japan before Christmas (brand VMfrom japan.webike.com). At first sight they are very nice and light. So I decided to mount them immediately. I’ve started from the right side, where the brake is. I’ve removed the handle, removed the old platform and began to tighten the screws. Only then I’ve realized that you cannot tighten both screws because the holes were made with an error of more than one millimeter. same for the other side. I had to install them manually enlarging the hole with a drill (8.6), needless to say that now the screw does not fit perfectly as it should. I have already planned the construction of a bushing with a lip and an eccentric hole to allow a better structure matching. In summary I’m pretty disappointed by this product that requires more than a few adjustments … not to mention the fact that I can no longer start the bike with the kickstart (after an half turn, the lever is blocked by the rearset!) I just want to remember the cost: 500 € the items and 136 € of taxes (Thank goodness that the shipment was free!)
Really nice quality and beefy rear sets! However, the execution and design was disappointing. First off, the kickstand lever comes really close to the foot-peg when extended fully. When I mean close, I mean literally millimetres close to brushing the peg. The foot-pegs are also extremely sharp. Coupled with this fact, I can see some unsightly accidents happening with slicing our calves on a sharp kick or worse yet, hitting the foot-peg.Onto the clutch side. The shifter doesn't have much room for your foot once the OEM kickstand extender is up. The rod does not supply enough play to raise the shifter. Lastly, the rod must be installed at a certain position otherwise the frame bolts WILL SCUFF the rod majorly. I learned this the hard way. Other people with these rear sets have replaced the frame bolt with a smaller self-locking one, which is what I plan to do in the future. This was installed on a 2015 Yamaha SR400 FI. Really dissapointed considering this was WM, a well-respected manufacturer. Again, quality is there. The execution and design was not.View Detail
Since there is no one for VOLTY, I modified ST250 and put it on. It doesn't go back that far. Condor Handle is reversed, but it is not so hard position. The Shift side can be installed by piling up several washers.
Brake Side can be attached by bending the ROD a little because the ROD of the brake hits the frame of Swing Arm and Tandem. If you don't cut it, it might interfere with the tandem. The brake switch is attached to the frame by welding the supplied bracket to the frame. It's not possible to pimp it, but it's for reference.View Detail
It's not mentioned in the manual. What is this? and I had to do a little work to install the brake switch. If you install the Switch according to the Instruction Manual, there are two problems. 1 The amount of pull on the Switch is insufficient and the operation is not stable. 2 Switch and Wire are located on the heel plate of some car models, so you may step on them. For these reasons, I used a 25mm with RubberPipe clamp for the relocation. I'd like to see this become standard on the Kit (it's a lot more satisfying).
The OEM footpeg is larger than before, and the Handlebar is replaced with HURRICANECondor, so the position was tight, but it has been improved. I haven't done a lot of miles on it yet, so I'm still getting used to it, but I'm sure I'll get used to it in time. Most importantly, Parenthesis is better!View Detail
It unites with a Separate handle and is Back-step-ization. It became a natural Position although it was a little hard coming to carry out a Knee grip.View Detail
well, today I received the package that I bought in November, also placed on webike (JP).The postman has taken 255 € of taxes due to customs duties, it may seem too much but this time the total amount was very high.the package is really huge =) and I opened it hastily, like a child of 5 years that discards the Christmas gifts in the ground under the tree on Sunday morning still wearing his pajamas.inside, as the matryoshkas, three other parcels, one containing the fuel tank, one containing the seat and the last with other small parts, like the speedometer, LED lights and a bit of hardware.the first thing I opened was the seat: fabulous! manufacturing truly remarkable, compact and solid. as a fighter I rushed to dismantle from the old seat the anti-vibrational rubbers and the metal thing (not included), time 5 minutes my new seat was attached. Needless to say, how it fundamentally changes the look of the bike. wonderful, really recommend it to anyone who has this bike, regardless of its style.the second thing that has been discarded was the tank, of course =).also this really nice, small, nice, brushed to perfection, with everything you need, ie tubes, screws, clamps and cap with double locks. the only thing missing is the fuel tap. It’s supposed you should use the default one and not surprisingly fits perfectly.again after an hour of work, the fuel tank was fitted and made operational on the bike.the only problem was that the tube attached to the bottom of the fuel tap is too short for this fuel tank, which is advanced by at least 5 cm. this is why they’ve included a longer tube in the package.I left the old one because it was very difficult to replace the connection at the base of the carburetor. so I cut a piece of new tube and I made an addition with the aid of clamps attached.after drinking a bit of gasoline to make the transfer of fuel remaining in the old tank I can say that the fuel tank is exactly like that of deus custom black W650. his looks the same and has the same visual effect, but I think that will shelter the blow of the old one and I’ll keep it as a viable alternative (Indeed I’m fond of the hd-sportster-style hump that sticks above the handicraft lowered handlebars). The next step will be the most difficult: the electrics.I have to install the speedometer and leds Indeed; and redo all the electrical connections of turning signal and headlight O.oShort also all the pictures! ;)bella!View Detail
