The wonderful design of the cable adjuster does wonders increasing the appeal of the Monkey 125
About quality and texture - The cable adjuster fat type from SP Takegawa is made from billet aluminium with precision machining and a black anodized surface finish while the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The wonderful design of the cable adjuster does wonders increasing the appeal of the Monkey 125 by allowing the removal of the original zinc coated and less then ideal cable adjuster from Honda.Products to buy together - A key product to purchase to further increase the appeal of the Monkey 125 by the removal of more of the less then ideal original parts, would be the noticably large front fork guards that are available in a slimmer aluminium finish from a few aftermarket suppliers.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the cable adjuster is a simple task that took 0.3 of an hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to release the tension off the clutch cable, fit the cable adjuster to the clutch perch and re-tension the clutch cable.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products SP Takegawa sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the cable adjuster is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the cable adjuster, I chose EMS for a earlier arrival date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For my location, purchasing specialty products like this from Webike Japan is the only option. There are a few local stores selling parts for the Grom but the range is very basic.
About quality and texture - Excellent quality, went away from the OEM zinc plated one to this lovely black andised one.About the feeling of use - Works really well, nice smooth operation when clutch cable adjustments are required.Products to buy together - If you are looking for more bling the SP Takegawa main switch cover is nice to complement this part, product # 05-09-0046.Difficulty of installation - Easy installation but does also require a clutch cable adjustment afterward.Cost performance and comparison with other products - Good value for money buy here and looks to be priced a little cheaper then the other brands.About shipping and packaging - Cheap and fast, arrived in a week and had plently of protection from the air pillows.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - If you can not decide one which colour you prefer buy them all and swap them up ever now and then.View Detail
When I am able to find nice little additions for my Honda Monkey 125 I really enjoy swapping out the OEM Honda parts. Most of these parts perform the same as the OEM Honda parts however the material they are made from and surface finish they receive are always better and give the motorcycle more of a premium feels. Made from aluminium has an anodised finsh and priced just right. When I originally installed this black fat type clutch cable adjuster the Special Parts Takegawa logo was not in a position that could been seen so I had to use a washer to make this adjustment. Very happy with this part and all my other parts from Special Parts Takegawa. View Detail
Another quality part produced by Special Parts Takegawa. Easy installation by simply removing the tension from the cable and fitting to the clutch perch. Cable adjustment was required after installation as this part is not exactly the same as the OEM Honda one. I choose the black cable adjuster to blend in nicely with the black clutch perch and black clutch cable, the silver OEM Honda one looked cheap. I love the Special Parts Takegawa writing around the edge of the adjuster and would not hesitate to buy this product again and I always am satisfied with the Special Parts Takegawa products I buy and the service from Webike.View Detail
This Takegawa cable adjuster is a beautifully finished item unlike the cheap OEM one.Always love how they include a sticker with all there items.View Detail
In my opinion excellent appearance. Also it's lightweight. Secures the suspension efficiently. Easy to install just remove the stock bolts and put these.View Detail
These fitted really easy and had no problems fitting them to the engine. i was really happy wth how they fitted and they made the bike look really good. The red really made the bike look great!View Detail
I looked for the handlebar and bought it because I thought Takegawa's product suited my taste. The installation is simple enough to be self-installedYou must have a tool. There's a small screw, so other than that, it's easyI like the product. Sell a lot of good products.View Detail
About quality and texture - The rear rack from Honda is made from pieces of flat bar and steel tube with precision bents that are TIG welded together and plated with a chrome surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - I feel having a factory Honda rear rack on the Monkey 125 is the best choice for aesthetics but when it comes to practicality this is not the case due to it's small cargo bed dimensions but really it'd all about the look for me.Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the rear rack for me was a fender eliminator as I wanted to add as much of the original Monkey Z50 styling back to the Monkey 125 and that started with removing unwanted black plastic parts.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the rear rack is a simple task that took 0.5 of an hour to complete. Some slight mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the rear rack to the frame.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and their rear rack is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being a no significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the rear rack, I chose sea EMS for an earlier arrival date as I was in no particular rush to install the product. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - For my location, when purchasing a special factory Honda product like this, it is best to do so from Webike Japan. There are a few local stores selling parts for the Monkey 125 but the product is not available.View Detail
About quality and texture - The clutch outer from Honda is made from aluminium casting and steel machining that are secured together, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - I was having issues easily finding neutral and replacing this part solved the problem. The cause was the grooves that wear into the aluminium between the fingers where the clutch disks lay.Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the clutch outer for me was new clutch disks, there are many options available but I thought the reinforced 6 clutch disk kit Kitaco sell was ideal for my engine setup and it has also replaced other worn aluminium parts in the clutch mechanism.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the clutch outer is a advanced task that took 1.5 hours to complete. Mechanical aptitude, the use of special tools and the knowledge of disassembling the engine is required to secure the clutch outer to the transmission main shaft.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for but this is not the case with the clutch outer as the pricing seems excessive.About shipping and packaging - With there being a significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the clutch outer, I chose sea freight to save some money as the part was not required immediately. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. From service parts to performance products and even motorcycle gear and apparel, Webike always seem to satisfy my needs in regards to availability and pricing.View Detail
About quality and texture - The left cylinder head cover from Honda is made from cast aluminium and a black painted surface finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The finned design of the left cylinder head cover from the Grom is preferred over the flat design of the left cylinder head cover from the Monkey 125 and the colour change gives the engine some character.Products to buy together - More black parts from the Grom engine like the timing cover and crank cover for the left side of the engine and the clutch cover protector for the right side of the engine would be key products to buy together with the left cylinder head cover to balance the colour change.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the left cylinder head cover is a simple task that took 0.1 of an hour to complete. Common sense and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the cover to the cylinder head after transferring over the O-ring. Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and the left cylinder head cover is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the left cylinder head cover, I chose EMS for an earlier arrival date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. About quality and texture - The exhaust system gasket from Honda is made from a high temperature metal graphite, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - No noticeable exhaust leak from the old gasket but since the exhaust system had been installed and removed a few times I thought it best to replace the gasket this time around.Products to buy together - A key product to purchase when carrying out general maintenance on the engine is a new gasket for the clutch cover as this cover is removed quite regularly for access to clean the oil spinner and filter screen.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the exhaust system gasket is an simple task that took 0.1 of an hour to complete. Common sense is all that is required to secure the gasket into the exhaust port in the cylinder head.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and the exhaust system gasket is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the exhaust system gasket, I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. About quality and texture - The cam chain guide roller from Honda is made from a hard rubber bonded onto a steel center, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The cam chain guide roller is a solid little part that constantly cops a beating from the cam chain and it's tension. It's worth your while having an inspection every now and then and keeping an eye out for pieces of rubber in the filter.Products to buy together - Parts within the cam chain tensioner system suffer significant wear with engine upgrades that allow for much higher RPM riding and a key product to buy together with the cam chain guide roller is the cam chain tensioner push rod head.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the cam chain guide roller is an advanced task that took 1 hour to complete due to the disassembly of the engine required to access the area in which the guide roller is installed. Mechanical aptitude and the use of a special tool and basic hand tools is what is required to secure the guide roller to the engine case.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Honda sell to be very reasonable when compared to what some of the other companies sell their products for and the cam chain guide roller is no differentAbout shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the cam chain guide roller, I chose EMS for an earlier arrival date.
